I hate how ā€œcomfortableā€ Iā€™ve become with ticks (specifically the speedy western black-legged tick).

Statistically, pack hiking dogs are most at risk when it comes to ticks.

I try to play it cool when I tell my clients about it.

But if Iā€™m gonna be honest with you, any wildlife with no legs or more than 4 legs is considered DANGER to me.

Itā€™s been over 5-years and you think I would have learnt by nowā€¦

the Branch Manger ā€œdrinksā€ sea water everyšŸ‘timešŸ‘wešŸ‘gošŸ‘tošŸ‘thešŸ‘beachšŸ‘.

Also know as spicy water, whale p**p tea, or simply, seasoned water (as Gordon Ramsay would say).

The branch manager NEEDS to chomp the salt water every time we go.

He knows itā€™s seasoned water.

He knows how delicious fresh water is because he works 10+ hours a week near it.

But he still chooses to drink chunky sea water every time we go to the beach.

Why?

Cause he might be part sea wolf.

I kid you not, I use to do these exact kind of sit spots with my students in my outdoor ed. classes.

Sit spots worked on kiddos in kindergarten and kiddos graduating high school.

Some kids would wonder off alone (as long as we could make eye contact they were safe - also the same rule with my dogs) and some would sit right up beside me in silence (Boun (Boon) ).

Iā€™m not a dog trainer,

but I am (wasā€¦) a certified teacher & all Iā€™m saying is if we treat dogs like we treat kids I think the world would be a little more kind.

How could I get angry at them?

It was the first big storm of the season and I obviously forgot so brought them directly to the puddle.

Their happiness is the reason I donā€™t have any mud rulesā€¦

I donā€™t actually know if heā€™s part Sea wolf cause this guy was the best freebie I ever got on Kijiji

But could you imagine how scared he is of the world if this is his reaction to a stuffed gorilla on the beach?

These kinds of fears are the reason he actually does manage every branch in the forests he wonders.
