Southlands Riding Club Southlands Riding Club provides a unique home for equestrian sport and recreation in Vancouver.

Located at the heart of the city's equestrian community, the Club focuses on providing training opportunities for amateur athletes at all levels, from grass roots to Grand Prix. We're a non-profit society that serves approximately 350 riding and non-riding members of all ages and interests. We are also "home" to groups that cater to youth, riders with special needs, and recreational trail riders. The Club encourages volunteer participation, and welcomes visitors at our many public events.

🎃 Our Halloween Playday is creeping closer!

Join us at Southlands Riding Club on Sunday, October 25 for some spooktacular fun with your favourite four-legged partner! It’s the perfect excuse to get creative, embrace the Halloween spirit, and enjoy a relaxed day with our wonderful equestrian community. 👻🧡

Whether you’re joining us in the saddle or coming to cheer on friends, we’d love to see you there. Let’s fill the club with Halloween magic, plenty of laughter, and memories worth sharing!

Join Mental Performance Consultant Annika McGivern for a sport psychology workshop designed specifically for equestrians!

A BC-raised Three-Day Eventer, Annika worked internationally as a groom, rider, and coach in Ireland, Australia, and the United States. With a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology, she now helps riders strengthen their mindset and develop mental skills to support their progress and success in the saddle.

🌟 What to expect: Learn practical tools for managing fear, building confidence, handling emotions, and improving focus and learning. Through real-life equestrian examples, you’ll discover how to put these tools into practice and leave with a personalized plan to incorporate them into your daily riding routine.

🐎 Put your learning into practice! Following the workshop, an optional 45 minute private lesson on your own horse will be available that afternoon for an additional fee-a chance to apply your new mental skills in the saddle.

Whether you’re preparing for show season or looking for more confidence in your everyday rides, join us to strengthen your mental game!

🎃🐴 Get ready for a spooktacular day at Southlands Riding Club!

Join us on Sunday, October 25 for our Halloween Play Day in the indoor riding ring! Bring your Halloween spirit, get creative with your costumes, and enjoy a fun day with your horse!

From leadline and rider equitation to costume classes-including costume pairs for all ages and levels-there are plenty of ways to join the fun! Following a one-hour break, we’ll continue with clear rounds: poles, crossrails & beyond.

✨ Leadline: $5 | All other classes: $10
✨ Entry booth opens at 9:30 AM
✨ Online pre-registration preferred
