“But my apartment is way too small to foster.”
To an emaciated Persian cat arriving from neglect, or sweet rescues like Goose, Groot, Gracie, and Chanel, a quiet spare bathroom or a cozy bedroom corner is a palace.

We said yes to 55 incoming cats because they had nowhere else to go. Now, we need our community to help us give them a place to land.

You don’t need a huge house. You don’t need years of rescue experience. You just need a closed door, a little patience, and a safe space for a frightened cat to finally exhale. We take care of the veterinary medical costs; you provide the safe harbour.

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, and somewhere up there is a very crowded sunbeam. Purebred, alley cat, foster fail, the one your neighbour's cat had in your garage. They were all somebody's whole heart. We love them all. The ones we placed, and the ones we never met.

Our 39 cruelty survivors are safe, but their urgent need for medical care and foster homes continues. 🐾👇

Rescued from severe neglect and unsafe conditions, many of these cats arrived underweight, dehydrated, and suffering from painful dental disease and respiratory infections. While survivors like Ripples and Bubbles are taking their first steps toward trusting humans, their full recovery will take time, extensive veterinary treatment, and continuous support.

Here is how you can help us reach our $40,000 emergency care goal today:

🩺 Urgent Veterinary Needs: Donations go directly toward intensive medical care, diagnostic testing, dental procedures, and medications.

🥣 Daily Rehabilitation: Funding covers nutritious food, litter, specialized supplies, and transportation.

She's calm, loving, and incredibly affectionate - but don't let her chill demeanour fool you, because the moment a wand toy comes out, she transforms into a kitten! She could play all day and will even curl up into the tiniest little ball mid-session.

Happy to the incredible heroes anchoring Toronto Cat Rescue! You do the quiet, hard work of healing, trading in your own sleep so that vulnerable cats and kittens can finally rest safely.

At Toronto Cat Rescue, we rescue and rehome over 2,500 cats a year. We simply couldn't do this life-saving work without the incredible veterinary professionals who stand by our side. From emergency surgeries and extensive dental work to routine vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures, our veterinary partners are the true heroes behind every second chance.

Stop kitten around! Our bowling lanes are vanishing faster than a cat at bath time! 🎳🙀

We are officially almost half full for the 21st Annual Toronto Cat Rescue Bowl-a-Thon, with 48 of 108 spots and 10 of 18 teams already snatched up! Whether you roll nothing but strikes or spend the afternoon professionally testing the gutter bumpers, every single roll helps us hit our $45,000 goal to save, heal, and rehome over 2,500 cats this year.
