✨ Today we welcomed three beautiful brown-eyed girls into our foster care, thanks to Northern Reach Network 🤍

These sweet girls are settling into their foster homes where they’ll have time to decompress, feel safe, and begin the next chapter of their journey. Stay tuned as we share more about each of them. 🏡

A huge thank you to Northern Reach Network for the incredible work you continue to do for the northern communities affected by the wildfires, and for trusting us to help these deserving pups!

We also want to thank everyone who has submitted a foster application over the past few weeks. The response has been overwhelming, and we’re so grateful for this compassionate community that continues to step up when dogs need us most. ❤️

While the wildfires have highlighted an urgent need, our need for foster homes never stops. We have dogs waiting year-round for a safe place to land, and every foster home opens the door for another life to be saved. There are no words to truly express the heartbreak we are feeling. We join our friends at in mourning the loss of an extraordinary woman whose unwavering dedication to animals and Northern communities changed countless lives. Her compassion, strength, and selflessness gave hope to those who had none, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.

This is an unimaginable loss for the rescue community. The world has lost an incredible human being, and so many animals are alive, safe, and loved because of her.

Our hearts are with her family, friends, the entire K9 Advocacy Manitoba team, and everyone whose lives she touched. We are holding you all close in our thoughts and sending our deepest love during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for everything you gave to this world. Your legacy will live on in every life you saved and every heart you inspired. Rest easy friend❤️🌈

ONTARIO FOSTERS NEEDED URGENTLY!
🇨🇦 As wildfire devastation continues to impact communities across Canada, more and more dogs are in urgent need of relocation to safety.

At Sea Paws Rescue, we’re ready to help—but we can’t do it without foster homes waiting for them. Right now, we simply don’t have enough fosters to say “yes” to every dog that needs us.

By opening your home temporarily, you could quite literally save a life. ❤️

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. Even if you can’t foster yourself, sharing this post could help us find someone who can.

Rescued from Northern Manitoba with the help of , Porter is a happy, confident little pup with a big personality. He loves making new friends, exploring the world around him, solving puzzle toys, and chatting away with his adorable puppy grumbles.

This smart, affectionate boy has already learned sit, down, and off, is sleeping through the night, doing great with crate and house training, and would thrive with a family ready for all the fun that comes with raising a puppy.

She’s the kind of dog who greets you with gentle head bumps, loves being close to her people, and is just as happy joining you on an adventure as she is curling up on the couch afterwards.

🚨NEW FOSTER NEEDED FOR OTIS!🚨

Our sweet boy Otis has been in our care for nearly a year now! With no applications. He has been through multiple foster homes and our hearts really break for him.
Otis is an affectionate, loving boy with so much love to give but he just hasn’t found his person yet. He’s the kind of cat who bonds deeply and will happily be your loyal sidekick once given the chance. Otis is ready for a fresh start, a comfy home, and humans who will choose him for life.

Otis is FIV positive so needs to be the only cat in a home. FIV diagnosis does not mean additional medical care or bills! He can live a very normal and healthy life. More info on the last slide!

Excuuuuse me, you look like you might love Brayan!
Our sweet angel boy has been waiting in foster care for a year and a half 💔 and we’re hoping his forever family is finally out there. Please share to help him find them!! ❤️

At 4–5 years old and 88 lbs, Brayan is the definition of a gentle giant. A lab mix rescued from a highway in Mexico after jumping into a stranger’s car for safety, he eventually made his way to Canada in 2024. Since then, he’s proven himself to be an incredibly loving, loyal, and easygoing companion.

✔️ Calm and non-destructive when left alone
✔️ Loves people, belly rubs, and holding paws
✔️ Good with calm dogs (with slow introductions)
✔️ Low-medium energy and happy with a couple of daily walks

Happy Birthday to our incredible Rescue Director, Kylie! 🎉🐾 From day one, Kylie has been one of the true backbones of Sea Paws Rescue, and we honestly don’t know what we would do without her. Over the last 6 years, she has grown alongside SPR every step of the way! Starting as a transport volunteer, then becoming an adoption coordinator, rescue manager, and now our amazing Rescue Director. 💛

Her dedication, compassion, leadership, and love for every single dog that comes through our doors is something truly special. Our volunteers, adopters, fosters, and most importantly our dogs, are so lucky to have her in their corner every single day.

Thank you for everything you do for SPR and for always being a voice for the voiceless. We are endlessly grateful for you 🩵🐶✨
