To wrap up our Meet the Groomers series, it’s my turn! I’m Brittney, the owner of Prairie Paws and a dog groomer. I also help our feline visitors with nail trims when needed.

I love getting to know the pets who walk through our doors, especially those little moments when a nervous guest begins to trust me. It’s a privilege to care for them, and I’m grateful you choose to bring them to us.

Next up in our Meet the Groomer series is Kalie!

Kalie has been grooming since 2021 and cares for both dogs and cats here at Prairie Paws. She’s also a Certified Feline Master Groomer, bringing a calm, patient touch to every appointment.

We’re so grateful to have her on our team. She may seem quiet when you first meet her, but give her a little time and her goofy side and perfectly timed sass will make an appearance.

Tali joined Prairie Paws in May and has settled in so naturally. She has a gentle way with pets who need a little extra reassurance, and she especially shines when working with our smaller guests.

Tali has been a certified groomer for just under a year. She began grooming from home before joining our team, and we’re so glad she chose Prairie Paws as the next step in her career.

We can’t wait for you to get to know her as we have. And one thing we’ve learned? Behind that sweet, innocent smile is a sense of humour that keeps us laughing.

After a 3-year hiatus, I’m finally dusting off the craft supplies and coming out of hiding! 🐾✂️ Between raising tiny humans, keeping everyone fed, and wondering how the laundry multiplies overnight, crafting took a bit of a backseat. But now I’m slowly jumping back in — part-time, slightly rusty, and probably covered in glitter and dog hair. 😂🐶 I’ll be making all things dog-related again, with a few new ideas, lots of fun, and hopefully only a moderate amount of chaos.
I currently have some stock at Prairie Paws in the mean time!

Have you ever wondered what happens during your pet’s grooming appointment or where all that time goes?

We wanted to bring you behind the scenes of Maggie’s visit and share a closer look at the care involved from drop-off to finishing touches.

Maggie joined us for a Medium Full Groom with a De-Shed Treatment, and her appointment took two hours from start to finish. That time included everything from bathing and coat preparation to a thorough blowout, brush-out, trimming, nail care and the final details.

At Prairie Paws, we intentionally take our time. We never want our canine clients to feel rushed or uncomfortable, so each stage is completed gently and at a pace that helps them feel safe and relaxed. This thoughtful approach allows us to maintain the calm, spa-like environment that makes the Prairie Paws experience so special.

Appointment times can vary depending on coat type, condition, size, comfort level and the services needed but we hope this gives you a little more insight into the time, care and attention behind every groom.
