I had news yesterday from Charley's mom that it was time to say goodbye. 🪽💔 Even though we knew it was coming, it didn't stop my tears from falling. I'll have more to share in memory of King Charles later this week once the video is ready, but in the mean time I can't not share this last sunset snuggle I was lucky enough to get with him just a couple weeks ago.

Over the years Charley became so experienced in his self designated role on sunset surveillance duty that he would strut all the way to the bottom of the yard, find the lounge chair, and hop up on his own whether I planed on joining him or not. After a little bit of enjoying the light he inevitably would end his sunset relaxation session full snoozing. 🌅

It's hard work being a dog. Thank goodness King Charles made it look easy. 🖤

It was a meeting of the minds. 🧠 I’m not sure what was discussed that day, but I do know whatever it was - the world will be a better place for it. 🕊️ How could it not be?

🔎 Spotted: Mr. Pongo doing a stellar job of getting over his fear of - ¿everything? - and making new friends on his first day at the Lucky Pups Club!

📢 Shout out goes to Axel the Ambassador for always being willing to add a new contact to his roladex (kids ask your parents what the heck that is). 🤏 Also to Maggie Jones for keeping it as pint sized as Pongo so he didn’t feel intimidated.
