🐾 A little glimpse of life at On A Whim Homestead lately 🐾

I share lots of our day-to-day adventures in our stories, but I realized our actual page has been a little quiet lately! So here are a few moments from behind the scenes. ❤️

Around here, pet care looks a little different every day.

Sometimes it’s a walk down our quiet country road.
Sometimes it’s a group of new friends playing outside or conquering a mountain.
Sometimes it’s everyone piled together inside relaxing after a busy day.
And sometimes it means heading out to care for cats, horses and other animals right in their own homes. 🐱🐴

One of the things I love most about On A Whim is that it really is part of our everyday family life. The animals in my care aren’t tucked away somewhere they’re talked to, played with, cuddled, walked, laughed at 😂 and treated like part of the crew while they’re here.

Thank you to every family who has trusted me with their pets, whether you’ve been with me from the beginning or have just recently found us. Seeing so many familiar faces come running back through the door is pretty special. ❤️

The welcoming committee is waiting in the dog room!

One of my favourite things about our dedicated dog room is watching our guests patiently wait by the door for their next adventure, a new best friend… or maybe just a treat.

At On A Whim Homestead Pet Services, our guests enjoy a safe, cage-free, home-away-from-home where they’re treated like family. ❤️🦴 ❤️

🐾 I’m Back! 🐾

I’m officially back home and slowly getting caught up on messages, emails, and inquiries.

I want to sincerely thank everyone for your patience, understanding, and the heartfelt condolences while I was away with my family. Your kindness truly meant so much during such a difficult time.

If you’ve been waiting to hear back from me, I promise I’ll be responding over the next couple of days as I work through my inbox.

Thank you again for all of your support. It’s wonderful to be home, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of my furry friends again! ❤️🐶

A quick business update 🐾

I will be away from July 9–17 with limited phone service and internet access.

Due to a family bereavement, I’ll be spending this time with my loved ones and may not be able to respond to messages, emails, or inquiries as quickly as usual.

May was such a great month! 🐾

Thank you to all of my amazing clients for trusting me with your pups. We had so much fun making memories, playing outdoors, and welcoming both new and returning furry friends.

Summer is almost completely booked, so if you have vacation plans and need boarding or daycare, send me your dates soon before the remaining spots are gone!
