Have you ever stopped to think about what a Registered Veterinary Technician actually does?

Take a look at our word cloud to discover just how much goes into being an RVT ā€” from anesthesia and diagnostics to patient monitoring, pain management, client education, and comforting pets when they need it most.

Thereā€™s so much more to being an RVT than meets the eye. Weā€™re proud of the knowledge, skill, and compassion our team brings to the patients and families we care for every day.

Help us celebrate our team by sharing your experience in a Google review here: https://g.page/r/CX1bVa26SFpAEBM/review

Thank you to all RVTs for the difference you make, every single day!

At Barrhaven Veterinary Hospital, great care is built on knowledge, skill, and compassion.

Our RVTs bring all three to every patient they care for ā€” from the big medical moments to the small details that make a difference.šŸ„°

Weā€™re proud of the people behind the scrubs and grateful for the care they give our patients every day.

Happy RVT Month! ā™„ļø

When you walk into our veterinary hospital, you may see a team caring for your pet.

What you may not always see is the depth of knowledge behind that care.

Registered Veterinary Technicians bring together medical knowledge, technical skill, clinical observation, critical thinking, communication and compassion.

They monitor anesthesia.
Collect samples.
Run diagnostics.
Support surgery.
Care for hospitalized patients.
Manage pain.
Educate families.
Recognize changes in a patientā€™s condition.
Provide comfort.
And advocate for patients who cannot speak for themselves.

So yesā€¦

We call them superheroes.

But what makes them extraordinary isnā€™t a cape.

Itā€™s their training, skill, judgment and dedication.
