💊 Pre-visit pharmaceuticals (PVPs) can make a BIG difference in your pet’s veterinary experience! 🐶🐱

For some pets, a trip to the vet can be stressful before they even walk through the door. PVPs may help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS), making visits more comfortable for your pet, you, and the veterinary team. 💙

They can also help pets feel more comfortable with handling, examinations, and procedures — which can create more positive experiences and make future visits easier. 🩺✨

🐾 Signs your pet may be experiencing FAS include:
• Trembling or shaking
• Hiding or avoidance
• Vocalizing
• Drooling
• Aggressive or defensive behaviour
• Changes in ear or tail position

If your pet experiences anxiety around vet visits, talk to your veterinarian about whether a pre-visit medication plan could be appropriate. Always follow your veterinary team’s instructions and discuss how your pet responds to the medication.

And remember — PVPs aren’t just for veterinary visits! Depending on your pet and your veterinarian’s recommendations, they may also be useful for things like grooming, nail trims, or travelling. ✈️🐾
