Platinum Winner – Ottawa Community Votes 2026 😄❤️
For the second year in a row, 2 Treats Down has been voted Platinum in the Pet Food category at the Ottawa Community Votes Awards.
I’m honestly still taking this all in 🥹
Back in 2022, 2 Treats Down was just an idea.
It all started with one very special pup—my boy Piper. 💛
I wanted to create healthy, preservative-free treats that I felt good about giving him. After six months of recipe testing, trial and error, and lots of research, I officially launched 2 Treats Down in November 2022.
The beginning wasn’t easy. I signed up for markets here and there, trying to learn and find my place. There were months without a single cake order because hardly anyone knew who I was.
Then came one phone call I’ll never forget.
I was offered a spot at Carp Farmers’ Market, and that opportunity changed everything. It introduced me to so many incredible pups and their families, and over the past few years I’ve had the privilege of celebrating birthdays, gotcha days, and so many special moments with all of you.
Today, families travel from places like Montreal just to pick up one of my cakes—something I never imagined when I first started baking in my kitchen.
For almost two years, I balanced a full-time 9 to 5 while building the bakery before taking the leap at the end of 2024 to focus on 2 Treats Down full-time.
This little bakery is my baby. It started because of Piper, and today I have the privilege of making treats and celebrating the pups that mean the world to all of you.
Winning Platinum for the second year in a row is an incredible honour, but what means even more are the friendships I’ve made, the trust you’ve placed in me, and the amazing community we’ve built together.
