Have to start off by saying I LOVE this mare. Absolutely adore her and everything about her. I love handling her, love grooming her, love riding her. She's just such a sweet lady and adores attention. I love taking her off property to clinics, always a great experience. I love how easy she is for baths, the farrier, the vet, she loves her bodywork, and is just overall a pleasure to work with.
Unfortunately for me, we aren't a good fit size-wise. I have been holding out hope that I might shrink (unsuccessful) after a major injury put me out for over a year (not related to this sweet girl!) but as chance would have it, I now have a freshly broken ankle (also not horse related)...
With that being said, my loss is your gain with this wonderful mare. As I will not be able to give her what she needs in the near future, and as difficult as it is for me, she needs a new person.
Details:
Nu Legacy - 16.1hh 2017 TB mare by Numaany (A.P. Indy) and out of Charming Silver (Second in Command).
Sound, no past injuries, good feet and currently in front shoes. Sensitive type, very responsive and great work ethic. Has her own motor, but does not build or get strong. A very enjoyable ride for someone with good feel and/or enough experience for this type. Has been ridden by juniors, and although very safe, I would not consider her a beginners mount. No buck/bolt/rear, great lateral work, easy changes. Massive stride, enjoys cross country schooling and shows great potential for it. Has been out on trails and to many clinics of various disciplines. She's been in full training in a dressage program since March, after having the winter off while I was unable to ride her, and will continue here until a new address is found.
Currently located in Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island. Movitated to move quickly due to my situation, low fives. Excellent home a priority, some flexibility with this consideration. May also consider a 12-18 month paid lease, or a lease to a great program where she can stay for sale.
