We are having a Volunteer blitz today at 11 AM!!

We are seeking dedicated volunteers at Kitchener Stray Cat Rescue! Due to kitten season, we need even more help. We often take in up to 15 cats and kittens a week, including pregnant mamas. We need general cleaners who can lift up to 50 pounds and are reliable.
If you have a medical background and can foster cats on medication until they recover, we would love to hear from you. Today, we’re having a volunteer blitz—please come to 900 Guelph Street, Unit 104, to ask any questions. Thank you all—we can’t do this without you!

Annabella’s Furever Dream Came True 🐾

Sweet Annabella spent months in our lounge watching other cats come and go, while she quietly waited and hoped her turn would come. Time after time she was overlooked, but this gentle little girl never stopped deserving a family of her own.

And then the perfect family walked in.

This beautiful lady has now found a home filled with love, patience, cuddles, and all the spoiling she could ever want. Her new family says she is settling in wonderfully, and they already cannot imagine life without her.

Sometimes the quietest cats have the biggest hearts to give.

Have the happiest life, sweet girl. Your forever was worth the wait. ❤️

A pregnant mama cat (Pickles)came to the facility a few days ago, very pregnant.

Sadly, all of her babies came out stillborn, except for one surviving kitten.
The baby is currently with me at home for 24 hr care in a temperature-controlled incubator, with filtered airflow, and needs to be fed every two to three hours.
Mama is resting, but she feels every loss.
Rescue is a constant ache, but also a constant love.
Without donations, without all of us doing auctions and fundraisers, we wouldn’t be here, saving lives. I’m so grateful for all of you who keep us going, one fragile life at a time.

Meet EZ, a young cat of about a year and a half who just arrived at our rescue after his family’s home was destroyed in a fire.

Every cat that comes into our facility has their own unique story, and EZ’s is full of resilience.
Right now, he’s being treated for an upper respiratory infection, but thanks to Terrina, who sponsored his medical costs, he’ll be back to 100% in about five days. After that, he’ll be neutered, vaccinated, parasite-treated, and microchipped.
EZ will be ready for adoption in about eight weeks. ❤️

We are also becoming extremely overwhelmed with kittens, mamas, and pregnant cats. If you want to follow our journey or help sponsor kittens, you can donate monthly via PayPal on our website, send money by e-transfer, or visit the facility to donate by debit, cash or credit card.
Every dollar helps us care for these precious lives.

If it wasn’t for the incredible support of rescues, this brave mama, Annie, would have been left searching for shelter before giving birth—fighting to protect her tiny kittens from predators, and unsure when she’d have her next meal. But this lucky girl hit the jackpot—she’s safe, loved, and surrounded by comfort here at KSCR as she relaxes with her precious babies. Please remember, everyone—always spay and neuter your cats. Thank you for being part of this journey.
