Micro bats 🦇 are truly a unique group of mammals. Not only are bats the only mammal capable of true flight but micro bats use a special hunting and navigation tool called echolocation. Plus attracting them to your property will help reduce the amount of pesky mosquitoes! 🦟

The stocky slow hopping American Toad (Anaxyrus americanus) is probably the first thing you caught as a kid and most likely the first thing that peed on you in the process 😂.

Mid summer is the perfect time to see Dragonflies and Damselflies. Insects like these are indicaters of healthy wetlands and I could sit and watch them for hours zipping around the pond.

It was the perfect afternoon to go and visit the Mountsburg Raptor Centre. I couldn't have asked for a better day between the nice weather and great variety of birds of prey.
