We're one of the largest Gypsy Cob ranches in Canada. River Lane Ranch is owned and operated by the Baird family. The ranch is located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan river in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. They breed, train and show Gypsy Cob horses. They strive for excellence and the traditional Gypsy Cob type thats been bred in England by the Romany Gypsies for hundreds of years. There is occasionally trained riding horses available, along with foals each year that are looking for soulmate and/or show homes. Did she get in trouble? I mean… there were circumstances. 👀

When our vacation guests arrive, we explain that baby Carmel is a little feral. If you’ve met her, you know that’s less of a warning and more of an introduction. 😂

A COVID baby who arrived shortly after her mama’s breast cancer diagnosis…
This girl came into a family that was learning just how tough it could be…and apparently took that personally.

We’re still working on the “use your words” part. But one thing about Carmel…she loves her brothers, and she doesn’t take any s**t.

Tiny girl. Big personality. Absolutely no concept of weight classes. 😂

Happy birthday to our beautiful Emily. 💖

Some people have a way of making everyone around them feel loved, and that’s our Emily.
She has the most caring hearts…always thinking of others, always making room for someone who needs her, and giving so much of herself to the people she loves.

We often call her the mother to all the Baird kids, because looking after everyone seems to come so naturally to her. She notices when someone needs a little extra love. She worries, she checks in, she shows up. And in this big, busy family, her love is something we can always count on.

Emily, watching the woman you’ve become is one of the greatest blessings of our lives.
We hope you know how much you mean to us…not just for everything you do, but for who you are. Your tender heart, your kindness, and the love you give so freely make our family a better place to belong.

Our wish for you this year is that you feel just as cared for as you make everyone else feel. That you have moments of joy that are entirely your own, dreams to look forward to, and people who show up for you with the same love you’ve always given them.
