🩵 WELCOME TO PAWS FOR LIFE, SNOOP 🩵

This 8-month-old Chihuahua is brand new to Paws for Life and, understandably, is feeling pretty unsure about the world around him right now.

Snoop is quite fearful and has arrived much too skinny, so for now, his only job is to decompress, feel safe, gain some much-needed weight, and start learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. 🩵

Snoop is not available for adoption at this time. We want to give this little guy all the time and patience he needs to settle in and begin building his confidence.

We’re looking forward to getting to know Snoop, watching his personality emerge, and hopefully seeing that scared little face turn into the happy, confident Chihuahua we know is hiding in there. 🐾

🩵 NEW INTAKE: TUCKER 🩵

This handsome 1 year old Border Collie X has officially joined the Paws for Life family 🐾

Tucker is very sweet and VERY smart! But is also a little skittish and unsure of the world right now. New people, new places, and new experiences can feel pretty overwhelming for this young guy, But Tucker is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all and we are confident a fresh start will help him overcome these uncertainties.

We can’t wait to watch this handsome boy come out of his shell and show us who Tucker really is! Welcome to Paws for Life, Tucker! We’re so happy you’re here. 🩵🐾

🩵 DOLLY & DOTTIE UPDATE 🩵

… A little update on our sweet emergency momma and her surviving baby!

We’ve officially named Momma Dolly and her little girl Dottie. 🐾🐾

We’re SO happy to say that both girls are doing amazing! Dottie is steadily gaining weight and getting stronger every day, while Dolly is healing well from her C-section and being an incredibly attentive and loving momma.

It’s so wonderful to see these two doing well after such a heartbreaking and scary start. A huge thank you again to their foster home for giving Dolly and Dottie such a safe and loving place to recover! 🩵

Events like Muttstock are such a wonderful opportunity for our community to connect with us, meet some of our amazing dogs, and learn more about the work we do. 🩵

🩵 EMERGENCY INTAKE x2 🩵

This young Corgi girl, just under a year old, has had an incredibly rough 24 hours.

She delivered one puppy, followed by a stillborn puppy. Then, another puppy became completely breached and stuck, requiring an emergency C-section… and that’s when we were called.

Thankfully, we were able to get Momma into emergency care quickly. Sadly, she lost 6 puppies in total. 💔 The remaining puppies had been without oxygen for too long and could not be saved despite the efforts of her veterinary team.

The good news is that getting her to emergency care quickly saved Momma’s life, and she is now safely settled into a foster home with her one surviving little pup. Despite everything she has been through, she is being incredibly attentive and loving with her new baby. 🩵

After such a traumatic start, Momma finally gets to rest, recover, and focus on her tiny survivor.

And a HUGE thank you to her foster for stepping up at the very last minute to take on this whelping foster. It takes a very special person to open their home to a vulnerable mom and newborn on such short notice, and we are incredibly grateful. 🩵
