Facebook keeps digitally knocking and asking if I am still here. πŸ˜†

Yes, I am still here! I just don't want to keep feeding these platforms.

Don't worry! I am still Fredericton's best kept secret for providing care for your anxious, reactive, or otherwise behaviourally challenging dogs. And I ain't going anywhere. 18 years and counting. πŸ˜‰

I have met a few new dogs this year, and might have room for a few more if you are booking for October or later. Feel free to reach out via text or voicemail 506-476-0715 or email [email protected]

Well said.

My understanding of dogs, and my relationship with them grew exponentially when I started listening to dogs first, and stopped assuming I knew best.

FeeBee had her surgery!! She has to wear her cone for up to 2 weeks, some ointment to aid healing, and some painkillers to help her forget about it.

After that, FeeBee starts her search for her forever person, or persons. 🀞🀞

HUGE thanks goes out to everyone who donated to help cover FeeBee's surgery, and also grateful thanks to the vets, techs and staff at Royal Road Veterinary Hospital !

Let's Go Team FeeBee!!

FeeBee is a 17 month old and 40lb.... Yorkshire Terrier Mix. (You read that correctly. We have her sibling and the Embark to prove it. πŸ˜‚) She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. While she won't be available for adoption for a little while, she will require an active, dog savvy home, with at least one other large dog for her to bond with.

EDIT: The goal is reached!! You are all β™₯️AMAZINGβ™₯️ FEEBEE'S SURGERY IS NOW COVERED!!!!!!!

Announcement about FeeBee's upcoming surgery, and also a little rant at the end because I'm allowed to have a little treat today.

Also, if my rant does NOT mirror your own experience with that topic, keep your comments to yourself. There are many local people living this REAL trauma who will see your dismissal and that will only hurt them more. My rant is for education and prevention.

UPDATES!

Dorito has settled into her new home and everyone is in love. She's great with their cats and kids and is finally sleeping on laps and couches like she deserves. Huzzah!

FeeBee, my new foster dog, is also settling in well. She is great with dogs her size or larger so far, I have not tested her with smaller, that will come in time. Her sedative medications that she came to me on are almost all weaned off and she is on a trial of an SSRI to see how she does on that instead. So far so good, and my hope is to get her off of that medication in time as well. We are still very early in her rehab process, so we will just have to wait and see.

While FeeBee was surrendered to me due to behavioural issues in 2 different homes, her most immediate care concern is her cherry eye. Her surgery is scheduled for April 22nd, and thanks to generous folks such as yourselves, over half of the money needed for her surgery has already been donated. ($1300 already donated, $700 still needed) If you are able to contribute, donations can be made at Royal Road Veterinary Hospital under my account (Chris Pritchett) Thank you so much!!

Other than that, it's been great here lately! I've even met some new dogs that will become regular guests on the Foster's roster. Just a reminder, here at Foster's I provide boarding and daycare for dogs who have moderate to serious behavioural concerns, and one of my rooms is dedicated to helping one homeless dog at a time.

Here's some pics of the rascals here today!

Cheers & Wags!

December already??? Okay, some quick 'housekeeping' notes:

Daycare will not be available between Dec 22 - Jan 4th. Daycare resumes January 5th, 2026.

Aside from one weekend spot available the weekend of Dec 12, there is nothing left available for boarding until the new year.

Dorito my foster dog is still here and we are going to start a new med trial next week and hopefully find some success and relief for her anxiety with new people and places so she can start meeting them and going there! 🀞🀞
