We love working with all breeds here, but there’s something about having a bunch of Shepherds on the property that always lifts the energy. A mix of boarding, day stays and training dogs coming and going — all with their own personalities and quirks.

It’s been a full house of GSDs these past few weeks, and they’ve been an awesome crew to have around.

Most people wait for problems to show up.
We get ahead of them.

At Precision K9 Training, our program is built around one goal:
setting owners up for success long before their puppy becomes big, strong and fast.

Instead of just running “social playtime”, we focus on teaching the everyday lifestyle skills that actually matter in real life.

This is all centered around creating clear communication between handler and pup.

By getting ahead of the training curve, we prevent the behaviors that become hard to fix later — and build the foundations for a dog that’s easy to live with, easy to take out, and a pleasure to train as they grow.

Frankie’s settling into his boarding stay like he owns the place — confident, switched on, and loving the space to stretch out and burn energy. We have over 15,000m2 of manicured turf which the dogs love.

Our boarding program is built for dogs exactly like him: structure, stimulation, and an environment that keeps them balanced while their owners are away.

🐕Sarah & Yolo back in for another solid training session.🐕👌

I’ve been working with this pair since Yolo was an 8‑week‑old pup, and the consistency shows. Sarah puts in the work, stays switched on, and Yolo responds exactly how a well‑developed IGP dog should — clear, confident and engaged.

She also brought a couple of young pups along to the session to join in on the fun.
Yolo is a strong bitch but also has the ability to be stable and playful with the pups- a perfect mix.

🐶 PUPPY CLASS — IMPULSE CONTROL

Great session today with a really engaged group of owners. Everyone picked up the impulse‑control techniques quickly, and it showed — the pups were settling faster, thinking more, and making better choices as we progressed.

One of the things we are big on is when owners understand the “why” behind the reps, the dogs improve twice as fast, and that was exactly the case today.

Strong effort from both ends of the lead. This is the foundation that sets these pups up for long‑term success.

All smiles last night — dogs and handlers rolling in keen, switched on, and ready to put in the reps.

We focused heavily on external rewards this session. Clean markers, clear expectations, and building the dog’s understanding that the reward sits out there, not on the handler. This is the foundation we need before transitioning that same clarity into the protection routine when the time is right.

Solid work across the board. Dogs thinking, handlers consistent, and everyone walking off the field better than they arrived.

📚Story Time - BRUNO — FROM A TOUGH START TO THRIVING

Bruno didn’t get the best start to life. He came from a background that didn’t set him up well, but everything changed the day he hit the lotto and was adopted by his mum — someone who genuinely wants the best for him.

He’s just finished his boarding and training package with us at Precision K9, and he’s gone from unsure and lacking confidence to a dog who’s settled, clear, and genuinely happy learning skills and how to navigate the world along the way.

He’s grown in every way — mindset, confidence, behavior — and it shows. This photo sums it up perfectly: a dog who finally knows he’s safe, supported, and on the right track.
