When we lose a beloved pet, we don't lose everything they gave us. 💕

They stay in the little things.
In the routines we still find ourselves reaching for. In the quiet moments when we instinctively look towards their favourite spot. In the lessons they taught us about patience, loyalty and loving without conditions.
They stay in the habits we picked up because of them, the places that will always remind us of them and the memories that still bring a smile through the tears.
Perhaps you still take the same path on your walks. Maybe you still catch yourself saving a little space on the couch. Or perhaps you find yourself speaking to other animals with the same gentle voice they taught you to use.

🌟 FAQ: What happens after my pet passes ❓🌟

After your beloved pet has peacefully passed, you are welcome to spend as much time with them as you need. Many families find comfort in sitting quietly, saying goodbye or simply being together in those final moments.
If there are other pets in the household, we also encourage allowing them to come back into the room. This can help them sense and understand the loss of their companion.
At this time you are welcome to place flowers and/or personal message cards with your pet if you wish. 🌸

We will then gently guide you through the post-euthanasia arrangements.
Dr Patrick will leave behind a care package that includes comfort items such as herbal tea, a scented candle and sunflower seeds to plant in your garden as a tribute. 🌻
In the days following your appointment, we will usually contact you to check in, answer any questions and see how you and your family are coping with your loss. 🤍🕊️

Grief after losing a pet can be overwhelming, and support is available. If needed, we can also help connect you with grief support specialists for yourself or your family members. 💞🐾

"My baby boy got a cancer diagnosis but it was already quite advanced and he had deteriorated quickly so I made a pretty last minute decision to have him euthanised. Ark Angel came highly regarded from other pet owners and vets. He was able to accommodate my last minute request for a booking which saved my baby having to suffer longer. The service was beautiful and with each step, Dr Patrick waited for my go ahead. I was able to hold my boy while his first injection kicked in which was everything to me. He was always a very anxious cat and he had a general disdain for anyone that wasn't me but particularly vets however, he allowed Dr Patrick to assess him and pat him which says a lot. Dr Patrick created a beautiful space - candles, flowers, essential oils and even picked a wildflower from our garden to place in his arms. He gave us little cards and some ribbon to attach to his paw to take with him. He gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes and we didn't feel rushed at all. The care and consideration in every step was evident. Thank you for helping an anxious cat mum through her darkest hour and for making my baby's last moments here feel so special."

It’s possible to have loved and lost other pets before and still feel completely overwhelmed by a new loss. 💔🐾

Every relationship is different.
Each pet has their own personality. They share different chapters of your life. The bond you have with them is unique to the two of you.
So your grief can be different too.

Perhaps this pet was with you through a particularly important time in your life. Perhaps your bond was especially strong. Or perhaps there is no obvious reason at all why this loss feels harder.
And that’s okay. Grief isn't something that can be measured or compared.

You don't have to grieve this pet the way you grieved another. You don't have to justify why this goodbye hurts so much.
