We all love giving our dogs treats, sharing a little of what’s on our plate and seeing those happy faces at dinner time… but even a few extra kilos can have a big impact on their health.

✨ Keeping your dog at an ideal body weight can help:

🦴 Protect their joints – Less weight means less strain on hips, knees and other joints, which can help reduce the progression and discomfort associated with arthritis and orthopaedic conditions.

🌈 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈

Today, we take a moment to remember the beautiful souls who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and the families who loved them so deeply.

As a veterinary clinic, we are incredibly privileged to care for animals throughout every stage of their lives. But one of the most difficult and meaningful parts of what we do is helping them say goodbye when the time comes.

The photographs we are sharing today are just a small handful of the many, many pets we have had the honour of caring for. Some were with us for years, some only briefly, and some we met for the very first time when their families needed us most. Each one left an imprint on our hearts. ❤️

There are so many more who aren’t pictured here, countless wagging tails, gentle purrs, cheeky personalities, old souls and beloved companions whose names we still remember. We cared for them. We worried about them. We celebrated their good days, supported their families through the hard days, and when the time came, we helped them pass peacefully and with dignity.

We know that for their families, the love doesn’t end when their pet’s life does. The house feels different. The routines change. Their favourite spot sits empty. And sometimes, the smallest things can bring it all flooding back.

To every family who has trusted us with the care of their precious companion, especially during those heartbreaking final moments, thank you. It is an honour we never take lightly.
