SURPRISE
Look who was spotted onsite yesterday!
Nala made a special surprise visit to Stella Maris as she takes the next big step in her training! She is still learning how to be around lots of people, so today was all about getting used to the unique noises, smells, and movement of a busy school day. She did a fantastic job watching a sports lesson and walking past a few of our classrooms.
A huge congratulations to all of our amazing staff and students—you did an absolute gold-star job practising our three key expectations:
1️⃣ We say hello to the person, not the dog!
2️⃣ We give lots of space when we pass the dog!
3️⃣ We keep moving (we don't stand around and stare).
Thank you for helping Nala feel so safe, calm, and welcome. We are so proud of how respectful our school community is! Nala will be onsite about once a week to continue her training this term.
And of course, she had her very first official photo taken to formally welcome her to the Stella Maris family!

One of the best parts of our 7-12 campus is our Wellbeing Dog, Nala. Our students tell us that there is just something about seeing Nala in the yard at break times or during class visits that makes the day better! Whether it’s a quiet moment together, a good pat, or a game of tug-of-war, Nala is here for our whole school community.
Nala loves to meet families too so if you see her around campus, feel free to say hello.

We are seeking two beautiful guardian families for our pretty babies “Dolly” and “Daisy”, they will be large medium girlies, they have such wonderful natures. We need a guardian that is collaborative and willing to feed a good high quality raw diet, good and honest in communication and willing to train their dog. Ideally, close to Murrumba Downs and surrounds (or you will be travelling as needed !)
