It’s been a while since I’ve posted. There’s been a lot going on.
I’m sorry to say that our favourite puff ball, the one and only Marsha Mallow is extremely unwell.
I’ve posted this photo of her in all her full rounded glory of better days.
I found her in the yard over a month ago now, wobbling on her eggs and unable to walk without falling over.
After the avian vet ruled out lead posioning and other potential causes, it was deemed that her issues were most likely neurological. Possibly stroke or tumour cells affecting the brain.
I made the decision to nurse her inside to see if she improved. For a long while she showed no improvement but also didn’t rapidly decline either. That is, until very recently. 😢
In the past few days she’s become very weak and unable to independently eat or drink.
I believe she’s reached the end of the road, but it hasn’t been without a very good fight. 💔
I know some of you had been asking about her so I wanted to post an update.
Sorry it’s not a happier one.
