Our World of Bulldogs

Our World of Bulldogs We want French bulldogs to be a healthy breed in Australia. We look forward to sharing this perfectly imperfect breed that we love so much with you.

Frenchies are incredibly loved by us and we want to give other people the chance to experience the love from one of these amazing dogs. We are on a quest to improve the health of Frenchie in our small program and welcome pet families and guardians to send us a message to see who we may have available. The tests we do but are not limited to:
- X-ray of the spine to determine wedge / block / butter

fly, short vertebrae
- Hip, Elbow and Patellas checked for dislocation
Assessment of breathing by larygoscopy and rhinoscopy while under a light GA
Assessment of Tonsils and Saccules
- World class DNA screening through Orivet
We are registered breeders which we feel is very important and provide pedigrees with all of our pups. All of our pups and dogs are raised in our family home, well socialised, DNA tested and come with genetic proof of parents. We have a family community group who share experiences and more importantly, lots of love and laughter. Ongoing support is very important to us. If you are interested in going on our waiting list or after more information- we do have a guardian program and will happily work with other like minded breeders. Please do not hesitate to make contact with us.

Heatwave warning in Victoria 🥵
Frenchies cannot reduce their temperature and need your help. Please be careful of these precious dogs.
It's too hot for dogs in Victoria when temperatures rise, especially above 25°C (77°F), with dangers increasing significantly over 28°C (82°F), requiring shade, constant cool water, and avoiding exercise to prevent heatstroke, a potentially fatal condition marked by rapid panting, drooling, and lethargy, with flat-faced breeds at even higher risk. Use the "pavement test" (if it's too hot for your hand for 7 seconds, it's too hot for paws) and limit walks to early mornings or late evenings.
Warning Signs of Heatstroke:
Excessive panting, thick saliva, bright red gums.
Vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, dizziness.
Pale gums, seizures, collapse (emergency).
What to Do on Hot Days (Above 25°C/77°F):
Limit Exercise: Early mornings or late evenings only; avoid midday sun.
Provide Water: Always have fresh, cool water available.
Offer Shade: Keep dogs indoors or in shaded, cool areas.
Cooling Products: Consider cooling vests, bandanas, or icy treats (frozen water)
Never in Cars: Do not leave dogs in vehicles.

French Bulldog Heat Safety Plan
1. Daily Temperature Rules
✔ Under 20°C – Normal activity, but still avoid heavy exercise.
✔ 20–25°C – Light walks only; monitor closely.
✔ 25–30°C – No walks. Keep indoors with cooling.
✔ Over 30°C – Strict indoor rest, cold environment.
✔ Over 35°C – High danger. Frenchies should stay inside air-conditioning all day.
2. Safe Walking Routine
• Walk only before 8am or after 8pm, depending on season.
• Keep walks 10–15 minutes max.
• Bring water on all walks.
• Avoid excitement, ball play, or running when it’s warm.
• Check ground temperature with the “7-second hand test”: if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
3. Home Cooling Setup
✔ Air-conditioning or a cool room
✔ Fan directed near but not directly onto the dog
✔ Cooling mat or damp towel
✔ Fresh, cold water available at all times
✔ Ice cubes or frozen treats (e.g., frozen broth pops)
4. Outdoor Precautions
• Only allow outside time briefly for toileting.
• Provide full shade and cool surfaces (grass, not concrete).
• Never leave a Frenchie in a car — even for 1 minute.
• Avoid tethering outdoors — they cannot escape the heat.
5. Heat Risk Situations to Avoid
❌ Car travel without strong AC
❌ Walks in sun or warm wind
❌ Heavy exercise or play
❌ Leaving them alone outdoors
❌ Dog parks on warm days
❌ Excitement or stress when it’s hot (it increases body temp)
6. Early Warning Signs of Overheating
Watch closely for:
• Noisy or heavy panting
• Struggling to breathe
• Drooling
• Red gums or tongue
• Slowing down or laying down suddenly
• Vomiting
• Glassy eyes
If any of these appear → Immediately start cooling.
7. Emergency Action Plan: Heatstroke
If your Frenchie is showing severe panting, wobbliness, collapse, very red or very pale gums, or vomiting:
ACT FAST:
1. Move to air-conditioning immediately.
2. Wet their body with cool (not icy) water—especially chest, belly, paws.
3. Place them in front of a fan.
4. Offer small sips of cool water (not forced).
5. Go to the nearest vet straight away. Heatstroke can be fatal within minutes.
8. Summer Management Checklist
• ☐ Walk times planned early/late
• ☐ Cold room set up daily
• ☐ Cooling mat washed and ready
• ☐ Water bowls filled and refreshed
• ☐ Frenchie supervised during warm days
• ☐ No excitement/play during heat
• ☐ Car AC working before travel
• ☐ Grooming: keep coat brushed to help airflow
• ☐ BOAS check-up with a vet if they snore, struggle to breathe, or overheat easily
