Located on a high floor, our place has large windows overlooking the busy street below. Your cat will love watching the endless cars, swaying trees, and the occasional birds on the balcony! much more stimulating than being surrounded by walls or confined to a small cabin.

Catteries often house many cats at once. We only host cats from one household at a time, no double bookings. Your cat will not need to share attention or space.
👫 Always Has Someone
I work part-time with flexible hours, and my husband works from home, so someone is always around to give your cat attention! Not just breif check ins.
🚶♀️ Optional Outdoor Time
We mainly provide an indoor-only setup, but if your cat is harness-trained and enjoys exploring safely, we’re happy to take them for short outdoor walks. South Melbourne is a lovely pet-friendly area with quiet streets and parks nearby.
💰 Better Value & More Comfort
Most catteries charge about $28 a day for their smallest cabin which is often smaller than a standard powder room, and nearly double for a larger, more comfortable suite. Our rates start at $30 a day, and you just bring your cat’s preferred food and litter. Real space, routine, and care.

Catteries can be a stressful transition for house cats, especially if it’s their first time away from home. At The Cat Cottage, your cat moves from one family home to another, keeping a familiar routine and their own items like beds, toys, and litter.
