🐱🎪 WE’RE SET UP, WE’RE READY, AND WE’RE CAT-TERING TO YOUR EVERY FELINE NEED! 🎪🐱

The Maneki Neko Cat Rescue crew has arrived at the CAT LOVERS FESTIVAL and we’re ready to talk all things CAT! 😻💥

Are you coming to see us this weekend? We’d LOVE for you to drop by, say hello, have a chat and, of course, SPIN THE WHEEL! 🎡🐾 For just a $5 donation, you could score yourself an amazing prize, AND every spin helps us rescue, care for and find loving homes for cats and kittens across Victoria. Win-win, with extra whiskers!

👑 TODAY: Queen Mabel is graciously suffering our presence. Please respect her royal sacrifice. 😂👑

🍑 TOMORROW: The ridiculously handsome Dodge will be on duty, accepting the butt scratches he so rightly deserves. His royal rump has very high standards. 🍑🐈‍⬛

📍 Find us RIGHT NEXT TO THE MAIN STAGE! Come say hi, support rescue, spin that wheel and help us turn $5 donations into more second chances for cats in need. ❤️🐾

We’ll bring the cats, the prizes and the questionable cat-related conversation. You bring yourself!

COME FIND US! Your weekend plans have just been purrfected. 😹🎡💕

Some cats burst into your life like fireworks. Sadie is more like the favourite armchair you didn't know you needed. Warm, comforting, and always waiting to make the end of your day a little better.

Her ideal evening is wonderfully simple: curl up beside you on the couch, watch whatever you're watching on TV, and provide a steady soundtrack of happy purrs while collecting as many pats as you're willing to give. She's incredibly affectionate, but she's also a lady with boundaries. Cuddles? Absolutely. Being carried around? She'll politely, and quite vocally, let you know that's not on today's agenda.

If you're looking for a playful kitten, Sadie probably isn't your girl. But if you're looking for a loyal companion who believes the best nights are spent together on the couch, she's already saved you a spot.

Beerus is a round, fluffy boy whose favourite hobby is cuddling. He is actually so big that he can probably be a big spoon for you. But be careful when he does that, as you can easily fall into the deepest, most restorative sleep known to humankind. If you’re up for some serious cuddles, then you and Beerus might be a match.

Beerus is a true gentleman. When he wants attention, he will come to you and politely ask to be scratched everywhere. And by everywhere, he means EVERYWHERE. Head, cheeks, back, chin… even the belly. Belly rubs are not just permitted, but enthusiastically welcomed.

While Beerus loves humans, he doesn’t really like other cats, so he would be happiest in a household without them, so he can be the only royalty. If you want a fluffy, affectionate, soft-voiced companion who will happily sleep beside you, this might be a perfect cat for you. As long as you’re ready to pay back with as many scratches as possible.

Meet Basil 🖤🤍
Tuxedo gentleman. Heart-melter. Absolute snack.

Right, so this little beauty is Basil. Dressed head to tail in classic black and white like he’s off to a dinner party, but don’t be fooled, he’s also very much here for chaos. The good kind. The giggly, knock-your-pen-off-the-table kind.

So if you fancy adding a bit of joy, warmth and a whole lot of personality to your household, Basil’s ready to jump right in. Simple ingredients. Big flavour. Absolute classic. 🍝🐾

💔 Rest peacefully, beautiful Dumpling.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news that yesterday, we had to say goodbye to our much-loved long-term foster, Dumpling.

Despite weeks of intensive medical care and every effort to help him recover, Dumpling's kidneys continued to fail. Sadly, we reached the point where there was nothing more we could do to save him, and continuing treatment would have only prolonged his suffering.

Dumpling was a truly beautiful soul. He had so much love to give, happily lavishing affection on everyone he met and bringing endless joy to those lucky enough to know him.

For the past five years, Dumpling has been surrounded by the love and care of his wonderful foster family. Our hearts are with them as they grieve the loss of such a special member of their family. We cannot thank them enough for opening their hearts and home to Dumpling and giving him five beautiful years filled with love, comfort and happiness.

While saying goodbye was heartbreaking, we take comfort in knowing that Dumpling's passing was peaceful and painless, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

To everyone who has followed Dumpling's journey, sent messages of support, donated towards his medical care or simply kept him in their thoughts, thank you. Your kindness has meant so much.

Rest easy, beautiful boy. You were so very loved, and you will be missed more than words can say. ❤️🐾
