Bopit was adopted on 20/06/2025, and today we received this absolutely wonderful update and photo! 💕🥹

Bopit was originally picked up near a busy road by a Good Samaritan. It’s heartbreaking to think about what his fate could have been if someone hadn’t stopped to help him.

Fast forward to today, and look at this gorgeous boy! 😍 He is safe, loved and exactly where he belongs. 🥹💕

The second and third photos are from the day Bopit was adopted. Just look at how far he has come! 🥰

This is why rescue matters. Every little life deserves the chance to be safe, loved and given a future. ❤️

‘Feral’ cat Simba 💕 Just a reminder if you think cats being killed is a necessity or warranted you would have been someone who condemned this gentleman.

Stop punishing the victims and condemn the perpetrators 🫶 The cats are not the ones choosing their circumstances. They are the victims of human abandonment, neglect, irresponsible ownership, and failure to desex.

Happy 7th Gotcha Day, Buttons. 🤍

Seven years ago, we were lucky enough to welcome this beautiful boy into our family.

Buttons was rescued by a friend from a backyard breeder who had subjected him, his siblings and a female Ragdoll they no longer wanted to breed to heartbreaking neglect. What could have been the start of a tragic story instead became the beginning of an incredible one.

Lately, I’ve been seeing far too many Ragdolls abandoned or left to fend for themselves outdoors. No cat deserves that, but for Ragdolls, whose coats require regular care to prevent painful matting, it’s especially heartbreaking. They depend on us to keep them safe and healthy.

Buttons might be the reason I can’t keep live plants in the house 🌿😂, but I’d choose him every single time.

He is the calm, gentle soul who welcomes every new foster into our home. Somehow, he knows exactly which cats are scared. He sits with them, comforts them and quietly shows them they’re safe. He’s their foster dad, their best friend and their safe place, all rolled into one.

There really is only one Buttons, and we couldn’t imagine life without him.

Happy 7th Gotcha Day to our one in a million boy. 🥹💙🐾

Hi forever human,

My name is Xena because apparently I’m both a princess and a warrior.

I’m 11 months old and my birthday is 6 August 2025 🎉

I was found in an industrial area of Dandenong in February this year. When I was rescued, it was clear I had a very unhappy digestive system. My doctor said it was probably from all the random things I had to eat while surviving on the streets.

My housemate made a huge fuss and put me on some very important digestive food made by a man called Royal Canin. Strange name if you ask me, but his food was excellent. These days my tummy is much happier, and I’m eating the same food as all the other cats.

I’ve also been told I need to tell you the following:

🐾 I’m vaccinated until 2/5/2027
🐾 I can’t make babies... as if I wanted to anyway. Gross!
🐾 I’ve been parasite treated and I must admit it’s much nicer not being itchy.
🐾 I use the litter tray perfectly. Obviously. What kind of animal does she think I am?

Now for the important stuff.
I am very gentle and playful with other cats. Humans, however, still make me a little nervous. I’ll usually run and hide when my housemate comes near me, although lately I’ve been feeling much braver. Sometimes I’ll stay where I am and watch instead of running away, unless she gets pushy and comes too close.

Because of this, I wouldn’t be happy as an only cat. I would absolutely thrive with a feline friend or two. They would need to be gentle, and if they’re playful and confident enough to show me that humans aren’t so scary, that would be the most amazing thing ever.

One of my favourite things in the whole world is having access to lots and lots of windows or glass doors. I love stretching out in the sunshine and watching everything happening outside.

But if you’re patient, kind, and willing to let me blossom in my own time, I think we’ll make a pretty amazing team.

Love,
❤️ Xena

Six weeks ago, Mittens was found wandering the streets of Sunshine in heartbreaking condition. She wasn’t pregnant as first suspected. Instead, her tiny body was so severely malnourished that her swollen belly was full of worms. She was little more than skin, bones and fur.

She’s an incredibly petite little girl who easily gets mistaken for a younger kitten.

Despite everything she’s endured, Mittens has remained one of the sweetest little souls you’ll ever meet. She adores people. She’ll happily trail behind you from room to room, asking for cuddles, company and simply to be close to someone who makes her feel safe. She doesn’t ask for much. Just love.

Unfortunately, her past has left its mark.

Dogs are simply too frightening for her. We believe she has learnt through experience that they aren’t safe, so she is looking for a dog free home.

She’s also still learning that other cats won’t hurt her. Rather than joining in, she quietly keeps to herself and watches from a distance. With patience and gentle introductions, we’d love to see her discover that feline friendships can be safe and fun too.

Mittens has a very playful side and is often seen having little zoomie moments 😍

No kitten should know what true hunger feels like.

Mittens is looking for a home that understands healing doesn’t happen overnight. A home where she’ll never have to wonder where her next meal is coming from, where she’ll be loved unconditionally, and where she can finally enjoy the carefree life every kitten should have had from the beginning.

If you have room in your heart for a little girl who’s survived far more than she ever should have, Mittens is ready to start the next chapter of her life with you. 🧡

You might recognise this handsome face. We recently shared him across the internet in the hope someone was desperately looking for him.

No one came forward.

As heartbreaking as that is for Sir Pickleton, it means someone incredibly lucky now has the opportunity to give him the forever home he deserves.

When he arrived, his little body told a story before he ever could. Covered in scabs, likely from surviving life outdoors and defending himself from other animals, it was obvious he’d been through more than any cat ever should.

His first few days here were… unforgettable.

Because he was too frightened to leave his hiding spot, we had to remove every possible place he could disappear into so he could learn where his litter tray was. His solution?

He simply squashed his tiny face against the nearest wall because, in his mind, if he couldn’t see us… we couldn’t see him.

It was equal parts heartbreaking and the cutest failed invisibility attempt we’ve ever witnessed.

Fast forward a few weeks…

The frightened little boy who wanted to disappear has blossomed into the sweetest gentleman imaginable.

He greets his foster human with the tiniest little chirps. He melts into her arms. He buries his face into her neck. They’re the kind of soul healing cuddles that make you wonder if he’s quietly saying, “Thank you for making me feel safe.”

He still prefers his foster human to sit beside him while he eats. Some nights he’ll wait until she’s asleep before quietly having dinner. I don’t think anyone ever explained to him that food will still be there tomorrow.
