A few years ago, I worked with Chicken Therapy Chairs to help develop a new form of rehab for our feathered friends. Nancy was one of the first overseas chickens to use the chair in his rehabilitation. With a lot of care and kindness, Nancy has come a long way; today he gets around unaided at his Canadian home - Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ โค๏ธ๐Ÿ“

to May 2017 - Nancy in his walker. When Nancy arrived at HEEFS in March of 2017 he wasn't able to stand. With the help of the caregivers, medical care, physio therapy, love and support he was able to stand on his own and eventually walk and run.

It was a busy morning at Osteo4Animals. ๐ŸพNova and Skye both had a postpartum checkups after delivering and caring for their pupppies.

A very cute little puppy also made an appearance and had a treatment to correct a few mechanical problems of the upper cervical spine and TMJ.

Thank you Sohalispirit Kristie Ainsworth for trusting me with your beautiful dogs and puppy. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

Thank you to everyone who had their pets treated over the last two months. Clinical practice has been a bit more challenging with social distancing and COVID 19 but we are continuing to donate to animal charities.

Our charity of choice for this month is Brightside Farm Sanctuary.

RJ and Bailey - On Wednesday , I was given the very special opportunity to treat these two beautiful souls. For months RJ and Bailey have been lovingly lying next to their owner who, tragically, is battling breast cancer.

Thank you to Sohalispirit Labradors for contacting me to provide some much needed treatment to these two earth angels who have unconditionally provided love, support and companionship to their owner for many years.

Dudley:

This little cutie is a 7.5 year old Miniature Daschund. Approximately 2 years ago, Dudley underwent spinal surgery for a left sided L5/6 intervertebral disc prolapse. His surgery (hemilaminectomy)was successful and he has since fully recovered.
Due to the chance of further disc degeneration, his very caring owner requested that he undergo a check up since she noticed that he is beginning to walk with slight left lateral flexion to his lumbar spine.
After a thorough examination, I am happy to report that Dudley only required gentle manipulation to his pelvis and some myofascial release to his lumbar spine musculature in order to resolve his complaint.
He is a very happy little fellow.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon at Sohalispirit Labradors for a follow up consultation on beautiful Skye, a 4 year old female Labrador, who sustained a low back and hip injury when she was attacked by a visiting dog.

Skye initially presented with ongoing signs of pain as she would intermittently yelp when movement of her hind end was initiated. Treatment involved correcting the mechanical dysfunction in her lumbar spine, right sacroiliac joint and hip. The associated musculature was also addressed.

Skye responded very well to her first treatment and yesterday she demonstrated no sign of her initial pain presentation. Her improvement has been due to the diligence demonstrated by her owners in carrying out the home exercise program prescribed. She now walks with improved mechanics and is a much happier dog. โค๏ธ๐Ÿถ
