We’re looking for an experienced emergency veterinarian to join our ECC teams at Advanced Vetcare Kensington and Kew, with full-time and part-time positions available.
Our emergency departments are at the heart of our hospitals, working closely with our specialist Medicine, Surgery and Oncology teams. We have multiple ANZCVS Emergency Membership veterinarians, many with more than 10 years’ experience, who enjoy supporting our associates, interns and nursing teams.
We’re proud of the collaborative environment we have created, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, learning and providing a reliable, high-quality service to our patients, clients and referring veterinarians.
A little about us
Advanced Vetcare Kensington has been providing referral and emergency services to Melbourne’s pets for almost 20 years. Our Kew hospital is a purpose-built 24-hour ECC and referral facility, located in the inner eastern suburbs along the Yarra trail.
Both hospitals offer access to advanced equipment including intensive care ventilators, blood gas analysis, cage-side ultrasound and CT, with vets and nurses working closely together to provide patient care.
We’re independently owned and place a lot of value on our people, our relationships with referring practices and creating a workplace where clinicians can develop and enjoy a sustainable career.
Who we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have 2–3+ years’ experience in emergency and critical care, be comfortable managing routine emergency cases independently and be keen to develop your skills with the support of our experienced ECC team.
ANZCVS membership in ECC is welcomed, but not essential. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and values honesty, respect, accountability and excellent patient care.
We offer a sustainable mix of day, evening, night and weekend shifts, with both full-time and part-time options available.
There is also plenty of opportunity for learning and development, including mentorship, tutorials, Grand Rounds, RECOVER CPR training, VIN and Vetbloom access, and support from our wider specialist team.
