Crazy holiday period, and I finally have time to try the new FurGlow & FurNova.
I have Siberians at home and I bathed all 4 of them before Christmas.
Before bathing, I use Cat Degreasing Oil on all the cats. My Siberians are all desexed, and they have a water-repellent coat, so using the degreasing oil makes it much easier for the shampoo and water to pe*****te and get them properly wet. I just pour some oil into my palm and rub it through their bodies.
I started with my youngest, as I knew I’d have more patience washing him, and he has the patience with me trying all the products. That said, I can definitely tell my rinsing still isn’t perfect — more practice needed!
*FurGlow* is a gentle cleansing shampoo designed to remove excess oil and dirt while preserving your cat’s natural moisture barrier. In other words, it’s a clarifying shampoo and works best after a degreasing oil. It helps maintain pH-balanced feline skin.
The dilution ratio for FurGlow is *1:100* — one pump (3 ml) to 300ml of water. You can use two pumps in 300ml water if you prefer a thicker consistency, or you know the cat needs more product. I use the soak-and-massage method: I sit the cat in the sink, baby bath, or laundry trough, close the plug, apply the shampoo, then add water to create a soapy bath. I keep pouring the water over the cat and massaging the entire body before rinsing. It’s very easy to use, yet really effective. It also doesnt dried my hands either so i know the cat’s coat will not be dried out.
*FurNova* is a volumising and smoothing shampoo that gives a lightweight lift without stiffness. It contains silk protein and jojoba oil, leaving the coat soft, brushable, and easy to manage. It also helps maintain pH-balanced feline skin and is safe for frequent use.
The recommended dilution ratio for FurNova is *1:200*, but I use it with an electric foaming machine. My foaming machine uses a 300 ml bottle, and because I can’t dispense half a pump, my actual dilution ratio ends up being 1:100. Using a 1:100 dilution in the foaming machine, I only needed to dilute the product once to wash all four cats, and I still had enough left for two more cats. It’s super easy to apply and it’s not drying my hands.
After bathing and drying all four cats (I use a dryer box plus a handheld pet dryer), their coats feel very clean, soft, and airy. It’s so easy to use — just find the right bottle to dilute — and rinsing is a breeze.
Cat owner verdict: Absolutely recommend! For desexed cats, you don’t really need the degreasing oil — just dilute FurGlow at 2 pumps to 300 ml of water.
