Who We Are:

If you need an alternative to leaving your dog or cat in a boarding kennel or cattery then look no further. Precious Paws Pet Sitting Services is run from our home. We have our own pets and we will welcome yours here and they will live amongst our furry companions. Go away on holidays or on business knowing your beloved pets are being well-cared for and treated like members of our own family. In our home, every furry friend is precious! Conditions for all pets:

An initial phone/messenger interview prior to securing dates for our services is required for new clients to assess if your pet will be comfortable in our environment. You are then welcome to arrange to come and bring your pet over for a meet and greet prior to your booking to ensure that you feel your pet will feel happy and comfortable in our home. There is no charge for this. Unless otherwise specified, you must provide food, bowls, a pet bed and perhaps some of your pets toys. This is to help them feel more comfortable when they are in an unfamiliar environment. Pets must be up-to-date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment prior to arrival. Documentation must be provided as proof. Pets must be free from contagious illness/disease. This includes, but is not limited to, kennel cough, ringworm, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Pets who require medications for illness/disease which is not contagious are accommodated, however, additional costs may be incurred. If you have multiple pets (i.e. 2 dogs and 2 cats) which require care, they can be accommodated, however, you will need to inquire at the time of booking as this might not always be possible. We maintain the right to refuse an animal if they display signs of aggression towards us or our pets. We maintain the right to refuse an animal if they display signs of contagious disease/illness. You must drop off and collect your pet(s). If you are not going to be the one collecting your pet(s), you must make us aware of who will be in writing, or we will hold your animals on our property until you yourself can be here. This may lead to you incurring additional costs. Payments must be made in full at the time your pet(s) is dropped off. Conditions specific to dogs and puppies

All dogs will be kept in an outdoor area separate from our resident dog. Well-mannered dogs may be walked once a day upon request, weather permitting. This is a complimentary service. Walks will not exceed 30 minutes unless specified. Precious Paws Pet Sitting Services shall be paid the amount of $10 (ten dollars) per additional half hour walk if the owner specifies that they want to exceed the half an hour allowance, once per day. Pups who have not had their first 3 vaccinations at least 2 weeks prior to their visit will not be walked for their own health - we apologise for the inconvenience, however, we assure you that they will have plenty of play time in our yard. Precious Paws Pet Sitting Services or its sitters will not be held liable in the event of any accident resulting in injury, illness or death as a result of being walked. Fences on the property are 6ft 3in (approximately 190cm), therefore, if your pet can escape fences of that height, please do not ask for our services as we may not be able to guarantee your pet's safety. Vaccinating your dogs against kennel cough (bordetella) prior to taking them to any boarding facility is recommended but not required. Vaccination is an effective preventative measure but doesn't guarantee that your dog won't contract it. We will not pet sit any dog that displays symptoms of kennel cough (or any other contagious illness) and if your dog does contract kennel cough or any other illness whilst in our care we will not be held liable and you will incur all veterinary expenses. For more information on kennel cough, please visit the following website:

Conditions specific to cats and kittens

We will only accept cats who come from indoor only homes or who have supervised access only to the outdoors. The health of our cats is important to us. All cats are kept indoors at all times. Cats must not spray and must be fully house trained. Important for you to note

We will assume that upon booking with us, you are aware of and familiar with the conditions listed on this page and Precious Paws Pet Sitting Services will, therefore, not be held liable for any instances that occur surrounding any of the aforementioned points. We will do our utmost to ensure the health and safety of your pet whilst in our care – including your pet being in our home, being transported or out on a walk, however, Precious Paws Pet Sitting Services shall not be liable for any mishap of whatsoever nature whilst in our care which may befall a pet, including (but not limited to) death, theft, illness, accident or injury. If we have to spend any money on your pet including, but not limited to, additional food and/or medical bills, you will be required to pay the full receipted amounts of these expenses before your pet is released back to you. The pet will be returned to the person who drops them off, unless otherwise specified. In the event of any emergency, the Sitter shall attempt to contact the Owner at the numbers provided to confirm the Owner's choice of action. If the Owner cannot be reached in a timely manner, the Sitter is authorized to make a decision based on what the Sitter deems best for the dog, at the expense of the Owner:
1. Transport the dog(s) to either U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital or another veterinary clinic which is open and available at the time required;
2. Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian;
3. Transport the dog(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible. The Sitter will follow veterinary advice and the Sitter will not be held liable for anything which occurs following veterinary treatment. Updated on the 1stof January, 2017. 🌿 So thankful right now for this wonderful opportunity to start my own photography business, turning something I love into my lifestyle and getting to share my images with you all - and most of all, having YOU featuring in them.

On the weekend, I lived it up taking photos of the dogs down at the Dog Club. This lovely Golden was one of them.

Did you know, pets are welcome to all my sessions but I also offer 2 different sessions exclusively for your Pets:

🌿 "The Last Moments" and

🌿 "The Pet Package"

The Last Moments is a way to document your ageing or terminal pet before they cross rainbow bridge and leave their footprints forever etched on your heart. This is an opportunity for you to document taking a day to enjoy all the little moments with them. I set this up so you don't have to forget all the features that made them special for you. Human family members are included in these packages, with the focus being on your animal companion. Your full gallery of at least 20+ images from your session will be loving curated and delivered in an Online Gallery for an all inclusive price of $350.

The Pet Package is a an opportunity to get stunning portraits of your pets... Pets aren't limited to just dogs and cats. I will be happy to photograph all animals! A maximum of 3 pets can be accommodated for the price of $400 including the full gallery of 20+ pets. Human family members can get involved too - but the focus is on the pet for this package.

That's all for today, but keep your eyes peeled as I will be introducing you to another one of the sessions I offer tomorrow!

Take care and hope to meet with you soon.

Good evening everyone, we have an announcement to make: We are, with heavy hearts, going to close our doors to pet sitting (indefinitely). Our family is full to the brim with the pitter pattering of little feet and furry paws and claws. Thank you to all our fans and especially to our clients who have trusted us with their furry companions. We have enjoyed meeting each and every one of you and caring for your pets as if they were one of our own. Our hearts are especially breaking at the thought of no longer being able to care for our regulars who we have such special bonds with. Who knows, we might be back in future - several years down the track. But for now, we must say goodbye and thank you.

Adoption fees have been reduced to $25 until 13 May, to help our cats and kittens find loving forever homes as soon as possible.

New laws for cat and dog owners will come into effect on 1 July 2018. The laws and rules include:
- Mandatory microchipping of dogs and cats
- Desexing of dogs and cats born after the 1 July 2018
- New rules for breeders who sell dogs and cats
- Introduction of a State-wide database, called Dogs and Cats Online.

These new laws and rules will simplify dog registration process, make it easier to reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners, help identify and put a stop to puppy farms and reduce euthanasia rates.

Microchipping
From 1 July, owners must microchip their dogs and cats by 12 weeks of age or at the point of sale.

Desexing
Dogs and cats born after the 1 July must be desexed by 6 months of age or 28 days after purchase by the owner. Exemptions apply.

Breeders
People who breed dogs and cats for sale after 1 July 2018 must register with the Dog and Cat Management Board as a breeder. Advertisements must include breeder registration numbers and other information must be provided to the buyer at the point of sale.

Dogs and Cats Online
From 1 July 2018, Dogs and Cats Online will be the central database for microchipped and registered dogs and cats and registration payments. Dogs and Cats Online will also be the register of breeders.

Existing dog owners should receive a renewal notice in the mail during July 2018 with their dog’s new lifetime registration disc (replacing the annual disc) and instructions on how to complete their annual dog registration on Dog and Cats Online. If you do not receive a renewal notice for your dog, please contact your council.

In preparation for these changes:
- microchip your dogs and cats and update your council
- notify your council of any change of address
- share this information amongst your networks.
