ONLINE TRAINING

A big milestone for Muddy Pawz.

Meet CORY, our beautiful female Labrador and the first Muddy Pawz trained truffle dog exported to the USA.

Cory has completed her specialist truffle detection training in Australia, followed by two weeks of hands on training alongside her new handler before making the journey to her new home in the United States.

Now the training is done, the partnership is established and Cory is safely in the USA (thanks Jetpets for getting her there safel )ready to put her nose to work for the upcoming USA truffle season.

For a truffle grower, having a trained dog ready to work when the season begins means being prepared from day one. Cory has been trained to search independently, locate truffle odour and confidently indicate where the truffle is beneath the ground.

This is an exciting first for Muddy Pawz and the beginning of something much bigger with American Truffle Company

Need a trained truffle dog ready for your next season?

Dogs are selected and trained ahead of season, so now is the time to start planning.

Around here, training isn’t just something we do. It’s part of our life. It’s family, muddy boots, plenty of laughs, and dogs that genuinely love what they’re doing.
Love what you do and who you do it with ❤️

It was a pleasure to be able to train with these 2! Sam and Gravy from DUCK | DUCK | PIG - Truffle & Cut Flower Farm have done a great job learning how to hunt truffles. They have the foundations in place. From here, my job was refining the finer details so Gravy can work with greater independence, precision and confidence. Great dog training Sam! And thanks for letting me be part of your truffle hunting journey.

A massive thank you to Sue for allowing us to not only train our dogs TRUFFLE TREASURES but also the privilege of helping her train her beautiful Border Collie - Shiloh. This team is going to be one to watch!

Bluey & Cory TRUFFLE TREASURES .. Today was all about building on foundations. Developing hunt drive, refining indications and helping dogs understand how to work scent in a real-world environment. Every session is another step towards creating reliable truffle dogs that can consistently find what others leave behind.

A massive thanks to Sue for having us come and play on her beautiful Truffle Patch!

FYI - this beautiful property is for sale for anyone looking for an amazing property!!
