WEATHER ALERT FOR VICTORIA

The next few days will be pretty scary and unsettling for all of us in Victoria. Having animals makes everything a bit more difficult. Make sure you have, and know your fire plan ( even Dr Gerry, who lives in a Port Melbourne apartment has a fire plan for her humans and 9 bunnies….).

If you need to evacuate with your rabbits , birds or other pets and you do not have a place planned to evacuate to, or cannot get there safely, The Rabbit Doctors clinic will look after you. If you are coming to us please try and get a message to the clinic - phone or multichat ( Gerry will keep a closer eye on multichat out of hours till the danger resides..).

Stay safe everyone- keep cool and hydrated and in touch with each other.

It’s been one of those months .. quite a few buns will be feeling a whole lot better , I can’t imagine the relief they must feel .. If you hear of anyone wanting a Cashmere, Angora or Jersey bunny please let them know that Whilst they are gorgeous they do require dedicated owners with time and the financial means to meet their grooming requirements , they need a minimum of 4 clips a years , around every 10-12 weeks and unless you can do this yourself then it is an ongoing cost for as long as they live . They are not a pet for the faint hearted .

FOR THE Angora Lovers 🩷🩵 Another day at Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage another 6 Fluffs feeling good for the next couple of months .. 3 Angoras cleaned up ,they now have new hair for their new starts .
There are 3 Gorgeous Angoras currently getting their vet work finished up so they can find loving ,dedicated homes .. One gorgeous Blue eyed White Angora girl . These two Boys are going to be soo Spunky,they are the most beautiful colours,great coats and Personalities to match ,they were so well behaved and so sweet that I really had the fight the urge to pack them up with me ..
If you rather Rebellious fluffs who just want servants who will take care of them but not expect anything in return but the pleasure of admiring their cuteness then there’s a bonded pair that have been waiting a long time and Benny ..

Last grooms of the year ..Thsts a wrap for 2024 with a busy day at Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage clipping 7 buns ..only 2 permanent residents..5 dumped/surrendered ..3 poor White cashmeres dropped off today after being found dumped in a box 😢..what is wrong with our world ..

Apricot is such a pleasure .. Fresh haircut feels .. who else has a bunny that is always super happy after a haircut .. My two Woofers had to make an appearance as well ofc!!
