Lovley sunny day here at the crafted budgerigars stud .
Birds are all happy ill be changing a few things around next few weeks as ive noticed water getting under the right hand side of my flight and being saoked up from under
Reason.. water tanks over flowing from filling and over flow is not draining away from flight something ill be adressing soon .
In the mean time ill be Swapping breeding room side with flight as its only the one side thats afected .
Damp floor can lead to coci at this time of year if any birds a carrier i havent had cocci apear in my birds since 2012 when i was fresh starting show birds and still learning care for the larger type birds and my Vet at the time was right onto it and i was lucky i only lost 3 birds out of my 300
As i was quixk to notice behaviour diffrents and seperated instantly from other flock members .
Knowing your individual birds behaviour is the diffrents to potential stock loss .
Keeping floors dry feom damp is also important

Few babys out of a clearwing to split clearwing nest .
Was 4 in the nest .
One already has a new residents.

I have a few babys comeing out nests at the moment .

A , Gf x gf opaline nest
4 babys in all growing in nest

And i let the pied white cap and white cap hen lay again and fostered to a infetrile nest to raise theirs 4 babys growing their as well .

Ill grab photos as they emerge from nest boxes

Few babys i have in 2 nests.
I let the white cap pair relay a clutch and then moved the eggs to get a extra clutch .

Well its almost time to take the babys out of the nesting cage i just want to make sure their eatting fully alone and can stand on perches nice and tall and fly from one to the other .
Normally i would have taken mum out at 4 weeks and let dad raise however mum is looking really healthy and i decided to risk seeing what shes like with the chicks intill they leave nest box .
So far shes a amazing mumma and i havent even needed to clean chicks at all or her nest she kept it clean the complete length of time from egg to out which is going to be placed on her breeding card for future knowledge.
Im happy with the rezults no opaline after all so i dont understand why their fuzz was so white ânyway
I ended up with

Goldenface cobalt dompied white cap normal c**k bird

Dompied whitefaced skyviolet normal hen

Pied violet im unsure as to if it will be a white cap as yet or violet but i suspect its violet normal dominant pied
If its white cap thats a bonus
