Kofiau Island Green Tree Pythons

I’ve been around long enough to remember the old forum debates about the “canary” yellow‑retaining GTP type from Kofiau Island. Back then, separating fact from hobby folklore was nearly impossible — plenty of rumour, not much clarity.

Then came the widely shared photo of a yellow adult female on a clutch by Vladimir Odinchenko, which finally confirmed that some animals from this type could genuinely hold yellow into adulthood. That image stuck with me for decades.

I admired these GTPs from afar for years and never thought I’d get the chance to work with them, but a huge shout‑out to Daniel at Chondro_boz for establishing and reproducing this line here in Australia. I’m incredibly grateful to be trusted with some of the first animals he’s released. Watching Daniel’s success unfold has been awesome, and it’s even better to now be part of the next chapter.

Not all animals from this line stay yellow — only a small percentage do — but even the ones that transition to green are absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to see where this new part of my Chondro journey leads.

Pairing 21 – Glitch x Hibiki
This is a mixed type pairing of utaraensis x pulcher types. Sire Glitch is a high percentage utaraensis type with Craig Wilson x Gavin Foreman bloodlines. Dam Hibiki is pulcher x utaraensis type with Russell Grant x Craig Wilson. Animals bred by us, coming from our previous pairings #15 Alibi x December and #11 Flake x My Sundown.
Glitch was a red neonate, Hibiki was a yellow neonate.
Hibiki weight before pairing = 967 grams
Ovulation – 13/07/2025
Pre-lay slough – 05/08/2025
Egg deposition – 24/08/2025
Days ovulation to slough = 23
Days slough to lay = 19
Days ovulation to lay = 42
Eggs – 10. Outcome was 2 fertile.
Hibiki weight post laying = 686 grams.
Incubation at 30.9°C – first pip day 52, all emerged by day 54.
2 neonates hatched, both red. First all red clutch 😄
