Tonight is the night that I dread the most 😞 all the lost and found pets pages will be inundated with posts tonight probably starting from 9pm when a lot of places do early fireworks for the kids and we know there will also be heaps of illegal fireworks going off at all hours during the night and early morning.
Also the pound staff will be run off their feet tomorrow processing impounded dogs so please be patient with them when calling to see if your pet has been handed in.
Just a few points to consider tonight.
1. Make sure your pet has a collar with ID and contact info
2. Check your microchip details are up to date . https://car.com.au/
3. Take a clear photo of your pet today to help with identifying your pet if found
4. Check and double check your fences and gates are secure and make sure there is nothing up against the fences that could provide a "leg up" for dogs
5. Prepare a room or a safe place for the dog
6. Have some background noise like TV or radio to help mask the sound of the fireworks
7. Invest in a thundershirt or make a home made one
8. Stay home with your pet if possible
I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, enjoy your night everyone and stay safe ❤
To all those still missing their furbaby's, keep bumping your posts and know that we are still all looking out for them, our hearts are broken for you but never give up hope.
Thanks again for caring and sharing ❤
