After a long period of declining physical and mental health, dear, sweet, d***y Duke crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully yesterday afternoon in his favourite sunny spot on his rug in the garage.

Loved and known by many, he was a wonderful friend, big brother, chief wellness officer, dragon, ambassador for dog friendly workplaces, advocate for the laws of war and pet adoption, and all around very good boy.

We feel very privileged to have shared most of Duke's life after adopting him at 3.5 years old. Just a few months shy of ten years, the old boy had a pretty good innings. His life was full of adventures and new experiences and there are a lot of people and organisations that enriched his life in big and small ways to allow him to enjoy so many years of health and happiness.

Desperate last ditch effort to get off the naughty list after leaving a p**p nugget in my bed, peeing all over my front legs and chest (don't even ask) and then doing a big ol' post-bath sloppy steamer on someone's nature strip while they looked on in horror from their front yard. This was all before 10am this morning. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Three years ago me and my anxiety moved to Melbourne to start a new life with two hapless servants. They still have lots of training ahead of them, but we celebrated the milestone with an AMAZING pet friendly getaway thanks to holidaying with dogs and wiggley bottom farm . 10/10 bottom wiggles, would definitely go back again to sit by the fire, woof at the horses, run around the doggy-field, sniff out rabbits and treat the goats with healthy levels of suspicion. ❤️🐾

What more could a dog possibly wish for than to sit on soft grass in the spring sunshine with a beer and a ball?!

Anyone else's dogs love sniffing cold unopened cans?! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

It's R U OK? Day today - a big day for me as Chief Wellness Officer at Australian Red Cross. After doing the rounds of the office to check on everyone, I enjoyed sitting at my ‘Canine Wellness Refill Station’ providing snuggles and support for anyone who needed it.

I do this every week but today was particularly special. I’m good at it because I suffer from anxiety myself.
