Australian Made Week is a good reminder that local manufacturing still matters.

In agriculture, Australian-made products aren’t just about supporting local jobs. They’re built for Australian farms, Australian conditions and Australian producers, delivering quality, performance and reliability built for local conditions

We’re proud to work with suppliers, including Philmac, who continue to invest in local design and manufacturing, and regional communities helping keep Australian agriculture strong from the ground up.

Here’s to all the farmers, manufacturers and suppliers backing Australian Made agriculture every day.

We’ve recently seen some much-needed rainfall across a lot of Victoria. As well as welcome pasture growth it’s also brought unwelcome pests including:

🪲 Cockchafers from larvae-pupae-beetle are out with vengeance in pastures
🪲 RLEM and Lucerne fleas (as seen in this on-field video from Warehouse Colac)), which create transparent ‘windows’ in leaves or ‘burnt tips’
🌱 Fresh growth of common weeds such as capeweed, stinging nettle, chickweed and more.

Luckily, our team of expert Agronomists are available to assist with identification and control methods. Find out more https://www.agwarehouse.com.au/

Earlier this month, the AG Warehouse team completed an intensive Parasitology Course with Virbac in Ballarat.

From Northern and Western Victoria, Gippsland and Tasmania, the focus was simple: sharpen knowledge so we can better support our customers.

It was hands-on, practical training focused on parasite control, drenching, vaccination and livestock health across sheep and cattle. And we’re proud to say every team member passed with flying colours.

What does that mean for you?
🐮 More informed advice.
🐮 Better on-farm decisions.
🐮 Stronger animal health outcomes.

If you’ve got questions about worms or parasites, drenching programs, vaccines or livestock health, our team is ready to help.

Pop into your local AG Warehouse (locate your closest https://www.agwarehouse.com.au/store-locator/) or get in touch.

Born 40 days early (and two weeks old here), we're happy to see this little calf happy and healthy.

When rearing calves that thrive, planning for disease prevention is the key.

Our animal health experts have shared these tips:
🐮 Monitor calf health regularly (e.g. twice-daily) and act quickly if problems arise.
🐮 Handle sick calves carefully to minimise the risks of infecting healthy calves.
🐮 Develop treatment protocols for the common calf diseases and train on how to implement them.
🐮 Use electrolytes as a first option for treating scours.
🐮 Provide calves with clean and comfortable conditions, including protection from wind, rain and heat
🐮 Ensure sheds have adequate air circulation while minimising draughts.
🐮 Choose a bedding material that is absorbent and comfortable whilst insulating calves from the cold.

Remember, our team is always here to help. If you have any questions, drop into your local AG Warehouse store and if you want a copy of our handy calf rearing checklist, comment ‘Checklist’ below.
