Finding humans for cats & cats for humans since 2016. We advocate for responsible cat ownership & cat welfare in the greater Melbourne area. We specialise in rehoming much loved cats and kittens who need new homes through no fault of their own, as well as surr

endered cats and kittens. We also provide trusted advice on cat health, wellbeing and behaviour to our adopters and supporters so their cats can live their best lives! We are all volunteers and we donate our time, money, and resources to save the lives of cats in the Melbourne, Victoria area. While we do have the support of local vets, all our expenses are paid out of our own pockets. Cat People of Melbourne started in 2016, when we saw a need for a support structure for the people who provide temporary homes for street cats and orphaned kittens and help them be rehomed. Griselda is a glamorous, affectionate and undeniably classy young cat who enjoys toys, food, and having time to simply observe the world around her. She dislikes loud noises and anything she perceives as disrespectful of her space or boundaries. One of her most unique and endearing traits is her love of riding on shoulders, where she can survey her surroundings like the elegant little queen she is.

It is BLACK CAT week at Cat People of Melbourne, in honour of the 99% of Mr Biggles who is coal black (he has some secret white hairs under one of his arms that he doesn't like for people to know about!).

Mr KRC is incredibly people-oriented and wants to be involved in everything you do. He will happily follow you around the house, supervise your daily activities, smooch into your face for cuddles, and deliver affectionate head bumps whenever the opportunity arises. The Applebys are at PetStock Ferrars Street South Melbourne, and they are keen to meet you this weekend when you stop in to do some shopping, not intending to buy another cat, but you see one of them, and it is love at first sight. So you run home, do the application, and then sit there, refreshing your email and text messages, just waiting to be approved. The approval comes through and you rush back to your new love and take them home. And live happily ever after.

The Mother Moos are all available for adoption - Madam Marissa Moo (on the lounge), Minnie Moo (fully black) and Mable Moo (sitting on the floor) have put their child raising days behind them and are now single and ready to mingle.
