“What do they say? It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog!”

Well, that’s classic Chihuahua for ya! 😛

Bodie is 9 weeks old and, to be honest, quite the little menagerie of animals! He makes dog number three, alongside four cats and a turtle. 🐶🐱🐱🐱🐱🐢

Full credit to his lovely owners for rescuing all these animals, but you could definitely see who was getting fed up the most… or had simply given up! 😂 It was hilarious to watch. Lucky Bodie is small, otherwise some of those animals’ patience may have been tested a little more!

The house is primarily carpeted, which can make toilet training a nightmare, and Bodie also wasn’t getting any real alone time.

So we worked out a laundry and segmented-yard setup that gives the other animals a much-needed break while also giving Bodie some independence. This should help sp*ed up his toileting patterns, teach him how to settle on his own and make sure he’s comfortable being alone in the future.

And importantly, it definitely beats being stuck in a pen all day!

The biting was also sorted. Turns out Bodie isn’t quite as tough as he thought he was! 🙃

A great little session with a very confident Chihuahua — and a whole household of animals learning to live together. 😎👊

Meet Artemis — goddess of the hunt! 🏹🐶

Which makes a lot of sense when you meet this little Jackapoo, because the biting, determination and sheer persistence have been next level! ⚡️

At 17 weeks, Artemis is nearly out of the puppy stage, and her owners simply want what’s best for her. The problem? With so much conflicting information out there, they had no idea what was right or wrong — and what would actually work for Artemis.

After two hours together, Artemis was absolutely exhausted, while her owners were feeling confident and, most importantly, had a clear plan moving forward.

And yes… the biting will cease! 🙌

A lovely puppy, lovely owners and a great session. Now everyone’s happy! 😊🎉🥇

This is Peanut 🥜, a 12-week-old Toy Poodle × Pomeranian living in her new home in Heidelberg Heights.

Her owners are very neat people, so having a puppy p*eing everywhere had become a pretty trying experience. And when you don’t know what to do about it, the frustration can build quickly. Amazing how something so small can cause so much stress! 😂

They have a lovely townhouse with the perfect setup for a laundry dog door leading straight into the yard, giving Peanut easy access to the grass. Until then, weeks of p*e pads in the living room had unfortunately been sending mixed messages, while she wasn’t getting enough opportunities to go outside and learn where she should toilet.

Peanut was a lovely little girl and picked everything up incredibly quickly — including staying on her bed and leaving all the nice house plants alone! 🌱😂

There’s no better feeling than getting someone on the right track and literally seeing the stress leave their faces while you’re there.

Another successful mission! 🫡🐾

Maple loving her new home in Montmorency! 🐾

This gorgeous 9-month-old Border Collie is a rescue who had previously been rehomed. I honestly don’t know why, because she’s such a lovely girl and just wants to please.

Her owner, who is 70, wasn’t enjoying walks because of the pulling, and with a working breed like a Border Collie, there can be a lot of power behind that lead!

We made short work of it, and the transformation was fantastic. I always love seeing owners become happier and more confident with their dogs — and, of course, seeing the dogs enjoying it just as much.

Much to her owners surprise, she completely collapsed later and was absolutely exhausted. 😂 She rarely gets tired!

Proof that it’s always mental power that knocks them out, never practical! 🧠🐶

Yogi is no lightweight, and he definitely knows how to use that to his advantage! 😂 His older owner was at her wits’ end with him — he truly ruled the roost.

He just wanted attention all the time, and if he didn’t get it, he would bite at clothes or bark non-stop until his toys were thrown for him!

Living in an apartment building in Toorak, surrounded by neighbours, it’s safe to say his owner probably wasn’t the only one feeling the pressure.

At over a year old and 30-something kilos, he was no easy case to manage.

But as long as you can stay strict, firm, and consistent, you can absolutely turn things around.

Much to his owner’s amazement and relief… 🎉

Maggie is one determined 6-month-old girl, I tell you what! 😂 But then again, Jack Russells are hunting dogs, so they’re certainly not short on determination!

Noise was the main issue here. Living in Toorak, surrounded by homes, it had got to the point where rehoming was becoming a real possibility if we couldn’t get it under control.

By the end of our session, silence was golden — both on walks and inside the home. 🙌

Maggie was a lovely pup, but she simply didn’t understand the rules. And the more frustrated and fired-up her owners became, the worse the situation got.

Once everyone understood what needed to change, things started falling into place.

Now we can all live in harmony! 😇🐶
