💔 Almost 200 days waiting.

For Okapi, that’s almost his whole life.

Almost 200 days of wondering when it will finally be his turn.

This is Okapi.

A boy who has slowly grown up in care, surrounded by cats who arrive after him and leave before him. Cats who get to discover what it’s like to have their own couch, their own bed, their own family.

While he stays behind.

Waiting.

It’s heartbreaking because there is absolutely nothing wrong with him 🥺

Okapi is sweet, gentle, playful, and the kind of cat who lights up an entire room without even trying. He brings joy wherever he goes. He makes people smile. He makes us smile.

Yet somehow, he’s still here.

Still waiting.

And we’re terrified he’ll start believing this is all life has to offer him.

He should be learning which side of the bed belongs to him. He should be racing through hallways at 2am. He should be curled up on the couch beside his forever family after a long day.

Okapi would love a feline friend to share his life with, and he’s wonderful with dogs and kids too. He just wants a family. A place to belong. A forever.

💔 Almost 100 days… and not a single application.

This is Question Mark.

A beautiful boy with so much love to give, yet somehow, day after day, he continues to be overlooked.

Not one application.
Not one person willing to give him a chance.

And we just don’t understand why. Maybe his name is a little silly. Maybe it’s a little unusual.

What can’t be changed is his beautiful heart.

💔 She used to wait at the front every single day.

This is Bratz.

When she first came into care over a month ago, she was so hopeful 🥺 No matter what was happening around her, she’d sit proudly at the front window begging for attention, pats, and love from anyone who walked by.

She believed someone would choose her.

But as the days passed… and open day after open day came and went… something started to change.

Now, Bratz spends more time tucked away. She doesn’t show herself off anymore. She only comes out if someone goes in to give her pats first showing her that they want to give her love.

Slowly… heartbreakingly… she’s starting to give up.

And we can’t let that happen.

Because Bratz is the sweetest little princess. Gentle, calm, affectionate, and so unbelievably easy to love. She may prefer to be the only cat in the home, but she has more than enough love to fill someone’s entire world 🤍

She deserves so much more than sitting in a pod wondering why nobody picked her.

She deserves a couch. A sunny window. A person who adores her. A home where she never has to beg for attention again.
