For me, raw feeding started from a simple place: wanting to give my pets food that feels closer to what their bodies are designed for. Matting happens quicker than most people expect - and not always where you think.⁠

With curly or dense coats, knots start forming right at the base of the hair, close to the skin. The top can still look soft and fluffy… while underneath is already starting to tangle.⁠

That’s why brushing alone can be misleading. A brush often glides over the surface and misses what’s really going on underneath.⁠
⁠
Simple tip: use a comb.⁠
⁠
A comb will tell you the truth. If you can’t run it easily from the root to the tip, matting may already be starting.⁠
⁠
And dont forget a conditioning spray, this helps to protect the coat from any breakage inbetween grooms. ⁠
⁠
Catching it early makes everything easier - for you, for your groomer, and most importantly, for your dog.⁠
⁠
