Had a pair of Murray’s out in the sun for a quick photoshoot before feeding time. These two are a great pair that produced together for the first time last year, hoping for another clutch early next year!

With the warmer weather slowly approaching Victoria, the outdoor critters are finally waking up again. The King Skinks are enjoying the Sticky Everlastings in bloom at the moment although it’s not quite the flower show their counterparts in the wild would see it’s supporting local biodiversity and pollinators!

A few more of the raise ups hopefully for season 2026-27. Kimberley Northerns from Nature 4 You and one of two 100% Het White, Poss Het Patternless and a few other things (wait to see what they produce) produced from animals by JoeBall BlueTongues.

Apologies all for the radio silence on this page for a little while, as you’ll see by the last two photos I’ve been working up in the Grampians doing some Small Mammal surveys post-2024/25 fires, if you want to hear more about that you can find the 2min video I made on Instagram all about it!

That aside, here’s a few of the blueys growing up for the 2027/28 season. Will be pairing up some Prince Regent Kimberley blueys this season and likely a pair of Murray Darling Carpets so keep your eyes peeled for all the updates to come!

Mark the date in your calendars! The 2027 VHS reptile and amphibian expo will be on the 6th of March 2027 at the Caulfield racecourse!

Really happy with these Urban Racks & Reptiles built PVC enclosures! The blueys are gonna love em. Really clean setup and a fantastic light-weight option.

For those who saw me at the expo, you’ll see a theme of old stuff being used as enclosure furniture!

Thanks to everyone who came out and had a chat or got a critter at the Victorian Herpetological Society (VHS) Reptile Expo 2026!

For those who did get a critter/s and any others who have over the past few months. A donation of $280 has been made to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy as my signage suggests and the letters I provide to many purchasees.

Continuing to support on the ground conservation in meaningful ways through the sales of privately owned reptiles. Further justifying why our hobby can be so very important!

An exciting day today! Some 3 years ago I had the opportunity to take on a pair and their juvenile Gosford locality Land Mullets from the Krauss’. It’s a privilege to announce the arrival of 5 babies from the original pair, kept outdoors in Melbourne. One baby will be staying there while the others will be at the Victorian Herpetological Society (VHS) Expo in a few weeks time.

Then my first lizard, my original Lowland Blotched Blue Tongue gave birth to 5 little ones as well. This will likely be my last litter of Lowlands for a while but they will all be at the expo as well!

More to come with a list of animals coming to the show! Feel free to touch base if there’s anything you’re keen on that I keep.
