Training Horse Spot Available

We’ve had the lovely baby Poppy with us for a six week training stint following her initial breaking in, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching her develop in confidence, strength and understanding.

Alongside her ridden work, we’ve spent plenty of time long reining, particularly out of the arena, to broaden her experiences and build her confidence in different environments.

Our training program is tailored to each individual horse, with a strong focus on correct foundations, thoughtful training and exceptional day to day care.

The rider may not always be dressed up for the occasion, but the quality of training and care is our priority 😂

We will have one training horse position available after 16th August.

Brooke brought her horse to ZVD three months ago, and since then they have been working through a combination of regular lessons and professional training sessions.

The improvement in both horse and rider has been phenomenal. Brooke has worked hard, taken on feedback and stayed consistent, while her horse has become stronger, more confident and more established in his work.

Our training program is designed to improve the horse while also giving the rider the tools and understanding to continue the progress themselves. By combining schooling sessions with lessons, we can address issues more efficiently and create clearer, more lasting results.

We currently have limited availability for horses requiring further education, competition preparation, confidence building or general training. Programs can be tailored to suit both horse and rider.

One of the things that makes our program unique is the quality of our horses. From safe, confidence building schoolmasters right through to experienced FEI horses, our riders have the opportunity to learn on exceptionally educated horses that genuinely teach and develop their riders.

Whether you’re taking your very first lesson, returning to riding after time away, or looking to refine your skills, you’ll benefit from riding horses that understand their job and help you progress with confidence.

We just wanted to express a massive thank you to everyone who shared their stories of Ben and photos with us. He truly was the soul of ZVD and everything we want this community to be. Seeing that he made so much impact to so many people warms our hearts and makes the grief a bit lighter.

Rightly, we’ve had a lot of clients express their worry and concern for P*k after the loss of his best mate yesterday.

Here he is today, enjoying the sun with his buddy. We gave him time to say goodbye yesterday and grieve, which seems to have helped a lot.

But of course, he would appreciate extra love and Weetabix over the weekend. 💕

Ever wondered what it feels like to ride a horse trained to the FEI levels?

We’re fortunate to have a number of highly educated school horses, allowing riders to experience movements that most only ever see from the sidelines. From flying changes and half passes through to tempi changes, piaffe and passage, our horses can help riders develop a feel for the correct training and biomechanics of advanced dressage.

You don’t need to own an FEI horse to experience what the movements should feel like. Whether you’re an ambitious rider looking to improve your own horse, returning to the sport, or simply wanting to tick a dressage bucket list item off your list, riding an educated horse can be an incredible learning experience.

At Zoe Vorenas Dressage, we have a real soft spot for our golden oldies.

While everyone loves talking about young horses and future stars, there’s something incredibly special about the horses who have spent years teaching, giving, and looking after their riders. They deserve nothing less than the very best in return.

The reason our older horses continue to look fantastic, perform happily, and genuinely enjoy their work comes down to meticulous care. From tailored feeding programs and regular veterinary, dental and farrier care, to careful workload management, saddle fitting, bodywork, and plenty of downtime, every detail matters.

These horses have given so much throughout their lives, and we’re incredibly proud to provide the standard of care that keeps them healthy, comfortable, and thriving. Watching them still march into the arena with their ears pricked, ready, is something we never take for granted.

Despite the cold, we are loving the beautiful autumn days and the colours around the arena. 🍂🍁
