Finally bought my rider video from the last comp. I know I made some mistakes position wise but had sooooo much fun it didn't matter. It was controlled (even in a flat put gallop which I threw in for fun). Couldn't ask anything more from my ex hurdler lol

Finally got around to doing our first horse trails. Dude loved it so much.
I had the wrong time on my watch which meant we didn't have time to warm up for dressage yet still managed a 63.1% even i know we could have done much better.
We nailed it at showjumping by getting an all clear and third fastest out of my division.
And today we did cross country which I was most nervous about since I've never competed xc before but we did everything with ease (only trotting through the water and over the ditch and down a hill 😅) and yet got time penalties for going too fast (we might of galloped a bit 😆) it was really fun. He is such a good honest boy and even after galloping to the next fence I could slow him down easily to jump. Think we will definitely be doing grade 3 next time!!! The dressage mark is what probably put us behind other riders and going a bit too fast on xc (is there such a thing 🤔)

We competed at boneo today (finally) which has the most fantastic grounds 😍. I was very happy with my plaiting (besides the forelock which I haven't mastered yet 😅). He did really well in both tests achieving a 65.4% in our first test (already a record) AND THEN we got 69.57% for our second test with predominantly 7's with some 8's!! Feels amazing to get these results since we have both been working very hard. Thanks Sarah for a great day out 🥰

Had another spin round maccy hickstead course with Edith Kane instructing. He was super and my position got so much better from just one lesson. He jumped everything including trotting and jumping into and out of water!!! So happy with this boy ❤❤❤❤

As I was cuddling my pony crying of all the stresses of the world, of all the hard work I put in to pursue my love of horses, of all the complaints of how hard I push myself, in the end it is all worth it. He is worth it... though he stood there today unmoving and not making a sound he is the support I always need to push through...

Over the weekend we competed at the West Gippsland dressarge and showjumping. Definitely improving. The jumping pics were from the other weekend as I'm still waiting for this weekends one to come out 😄 couldn't have done it without the help of Kate and Lisa floating him there for me and supporting so thank you.

Happy gotcha day!!! Over one year we have both grown so much and I can't imagine my life without you. Of just one year we have attended various pony club and adult riders rallys, pony club camp, heaps of trail rides, so many lessons and much much more. Love him so much. Pictures taken today, looking amazing!!!

What a week I've had. Dressarge at shirley heights on wednesday AND dressarge and showjumping over the weekend at wittlesea showgrounds. I was happy with our dressarge tests at both events but still alot to practise.
My highlight was definitely the showjumping as it was our first time we had competed in sj yet we did super. Came 6th place in the 2phase and knocked a couple rails in the 2round jump off due to being a little tiered in the 30 degree heat which of course is understandable. Will share the professional photos once I get them.
