🐴🌾 Toongabbie Stockman’s Challenge 🌾🐴

What a fantastic day our Longford Pony Club riders had at the Toongabbie Stockman’s Challenge last Sunday! We are so proud of everyone who represented our club with great sportsmanship, determination and teamwork.

A special congratulations to:
🏆 Blake – 1st Overall
🏅 Riley – 4th in Jumping

🌟 Chloe also had an outstanding day, finishing:
🥈 Reserve Champion – Pony Club Grade 5
🥈 2nd in Jumping
🥈 2nd in Whip
🥈 2nd in Dry Pattern
🏅 5th in Obstacles

Congratulations to all of our riders and a huge thank you to the families, volunteers and supporters who make days like these possible. Of course, a big pat goes to our wonderful horses and ponies who gave their all!

Today, 1st August, we celebrate the incredible horses and ponies that make Pony Club so special.

They teach us courage, patience, resilience and kindness. They carry us through lessons, rallies, competitions and countless adventures, always giving us memories we’ll treasure forever.

Thank you to every horse and pony for being our partners, our teachers and our best friends. 💙

Happy Birthday, we hope you’re all spoiled with plenty of extra pats, treats and carrots today! 🥕🎂

💚 We absolutely love this! Pony Club is so much more than riding, it’s about family, friendships, encouragement and making memories together. We know there are plenty of amazing Pony Club mums, dads, grandparents and supporters cheering from the sidelines every weekend. 🐴💚

Chris Hemsworth’s Sweetest Role? Proud Pony Club Dad 🐴❤️
Many of us know Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, Thor—but away from the big screen, he’s also a devoted Pony Dad!

🐴⚡ From carefully plaiting his daughter India’s pony before a show to cheering her on from the sidelines, Chris proves his talents go well beyond wielding a hammer. Any other hidden skills we should know about?

Chris’s partner, Elsa Pataky, and their daughter India share a love of horses, with several horses kept at their family property in Byron Bay, New South Wales. It’s there that India confidently rides her Welsh pony, taking on jumps with the same fearless spirit as her parents.

Whether he’s swapping Mjolnir for a mane comb, helping prepare for competition day, or supporting every ride with patience, encouragement, and a proud smile, Chris shows that some of the greatest heroes are the ones cheering from the sidelines. ❤️🌞

🌟 Longford Pony Club Rally Day – What a Day! 🌟

What a fantastic day we had at our June Rally on Sunday! 🐴☀️

From show jumping and flatwork to cross country, mounted theory, activities and poles, our riders spent the day learning new skills, building confidence and most importantly having fun with their ponies and friends.

A huge thank you to our amazing instructors:

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, encouragement and enthusiasm with our riders throughout the day. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful team supporting our club.

A massive shout-out also goes to all of our committee members, volunteers, canteen helpers, gear checkers, parents and families. Pony Club days simply don’t happen without the many hands working behind the scenes before, during and after the event. Your time and dedication are greatly appreciated. 👏

And a very special thank you to Michelle and Ham Gerrand for all the hard work slashing, mowing and tidying the grounds in preparation for the rally. The grounds looked absolutely fantastic and helped make the day such a success. 🌱🚜

Most of all, well done to all our riders for showing great sportsmanship, determination and willingness to learn throughout the day. We loved seeing everyone encouraging each other and having a go.

Thank you to everyone who made Sunday such a wonderful day. We can’t wait to do it all again at our next rally! 💙🐴
