On Saturday, my daughters and I went to the yard for a hack.

We left home at 7am.

We returned at 3pm.

My husband has slightly got used to this strange disappearance of time whenever we go near the horses…

But still, what actually happens?!

We went for a hack.

Just a hack.

Yet somehow, between getting the horses in, brushing them, finding everyone’s riding stuff, actually going on the hack, getting back, untacking, sorting the horses, doing the jobs, stopping for snacks, chatting and generally faffing…

EIGHT HOURS HAD PASSED.

There must be some kind of time vortex at the yard.

You arrive at 7am, look at your watch five minutes later and it’s apparently mid-afternoon.

No explanation.

No sense of urgency.

No regrets.

Just three very happy girls, several content horses and a husband who has learned never to ask:

“How long will you be?” 🤣🐴

PLEASE NOTE: CANCELLATION POLICY

A 50% lesson fee will apply to cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as to ‘no-shows’.

This policy is in place as a coach and a suitable horse are specifically reserved for your lesson time. Late cancellations do not allow us sufficient time to advertise the vacancy and offer the lesson to another client, resulting in an empty lesson spot and associated costs for our business.

For cancellations due to illness, a doctor’s certificate will be required for the cancellation fee to be waived.
