It’s Pet Appreciation Week!
This week, we’re celebrating the pets that make our lives brighter every single day. From loyal companions to mischievous troublemakers, our furry family members mean the world to us.
Meet some of the beloved pets behind our team - the pets that keep us smiling both at home and at work.
Share a photo of your pet in the comments and tell us what makes them so special!

Hug Your Cat Day
Today is all about celebrating our feline friends with a little extra love (on their terms, of course!). Whether your cat enjoys cuddles, head scratches, or simply sitting nearby and judging your life choices, take a moment to show them how much they mean to you. Give them a treat, spend some quality time together, and if they’re feeling affectionate, maybe even sneak in a hug! Share a photo of your cat in the comments—we’d love to see them!

Lost pets can’t tell us where they live — but their microchip can.
June is National Microchipping Month, the perfect reminder to make sure your pet’s microchip details are up to date. Microchips are one of the best ways to help lost pets find their way home, but outdated contact details can make reuniting families much harder.
If your pet isn’t microchipped yet, now’s the perfect time to book them in — and if they already are, don’t forget to check that your details are current by looking up their microchip number with the link below.

Boredom buster ideas for your pets.
Need easy ways to keep your pet entertained at home? Try these simple enrichment ideas:
• Pupsicles & catsicles – a fun summer treat to keep pets cool. Use healthy berries in an ice cube tray, or get creative with pet-shaped moulds.
• Kong toys – stuff with your pet’s favourite foods, either mixed together or layered for different flavours.
• Lick mats – licking helps relieve stress by releasing feel-good endorphins. Spread pet yoghurt or food on the mat, or freeze it to make it last longer.
• Slow feeders – available in different shapes and difficulty levels. A free alternative is scattering treats on grass or the floor so pets can sniff and scavenge.
• Snuffle mats/balls – easy to make with fleece strips and a foam mat or holee roller ball. Great for encouraging natural sniffing behaviours.
Always check human foods are pet-safe before feeding. Click the links below for more enrichment ideas!https://www.kongcompany.com/recipes/

When belly rubs are life

Last week, Dr. Scott headed to the AVA Conference in Brisbane, where he had the opportunity to present and talk all things TCI with fellow veterinarians.
From sharing knowledge, discussing reproduction cases, to learning from other industry professionals, exploring the latest in veterinary medicine, and making new connections, it was a fantastic few days of education, collaboration, and inspiration.
