Paralysis Ticks about ☠️
Please check your pet regularly for ticks.
SYMPTOMS OF TICK PARALYSIS:
⚠️Weakness in hind legs (wobbliness in the back legs or not being able to get up)
⚠️Weakness in the fore legs
⚠️A change in the sound of the bark or voice
⚠️Retching, coughing and vomiting
⚠️Excessive salivation/drooling
⚠️Loss of appetite
⚠️Progressive paralysis
⚠️Difficulty breathing or rapid breathing, grunting noises when breathing, panting or gasping.
If your pet shows symptoms of tick toxicity take it to your local family vet or emergency vet AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ‼️
Please keep your beloved pet's tick prevention up to date.

🐦🌼 Magpie Breeding Season is Here! 🌼🐦

As spring arrives on the Central Coast, our native birds are busy raising their families. During this time, magpies, peewees, butcherbirds and plovers may swoop to protect their nests and chicks.

💡 A few tips to stay safe: ✅ Avoid known nesting areas where possible
✅ Wear sunglasses or a hat, or carry an umbrella overhead
✅ Cyclists should dismount and walk their bikes through swooping zones
✅ Walk calmly and avoid running
✅ Travel in groups when you can
✅ Give nesting birds plenty of space

🚫 Please don't disturb nests, eggs or birds. They are protected native wildlife and simply doing their best to keep their young safe.
