⭐ A little favour to ask... 🐾

If your furry friend has visited Doggy Delight Grooming and you were happy with their groom, I'd be so grateful if you could take a minute to leave a Facebook review. 💛

As a new small business, every review helps build trust, supports my business, and helps other pet owners feel confident choosing me for their dogs.

Your kind words truly mean the world to me and help my little business grow. 🐶✨

Thank you so much 💓

🐾 Important Price Update 🐾

To ensure I can continue providing the highest quality care and grooming for your beautiful dogs, there will be some adjustments to pricing for coats with significant matting, knots, or undercoat impaction.

Every dog deserves a gentle, comfortable grooming experience, and coats with matting or impaction require additional time, products, and care to work through safely and comfortably. My goal is always to have your dog leave feeling great and looking their best.

Regular brushing at home and booking professional grooming appointments every 6–8 weeks can make a huge difference in maintaining a healthy coat, reducing undercoat build-up, and keeping your dog comfortable year-round.

For dogs whose coats are regularly maintained and simply require their routine professional deshed, pricing will remain unchanged at $120.

For coats requiring extra work due to matting, knots, or undercoat impaction, the following pricing will apply:

🐾 Well-maintained coat with routine deshed: $120

🐾 Stage 1 Matting, Knots or Impaction: $140

🐾 Stage 2 Matting, Knots or Impaction: $160

Coats will be assessed at the beginning of each appointment, and pricing will be based on the condition of the coat at that time.

If you're unsure which stage your dog's coat may fall into, please feel free to send me some photos prior to your appointment and I'll be happy to give you an indication.

Thank you for your understanding, continued support, and for trusting me with your furry family members. I truly appreciate every one of you and look forward to keeping your pups happy, comfortable, and looking their best. ❤️🐾

Your Border Collie would like to formally report that: • the floof is floofing
• the grinch feet are back
• and the butt fluff has reached critical levels 🐾😂
Sounds like it might be time for another spa day 🛁✨

*EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY*

Border Collies have a double coat, and when the undercoat isn’t removed correctly it doesn’t always shed out on its own — it can become impacted and compacted against the skin.

In the first video, I’m blow-drying prior to grooming.
Notice how the coat os all impacted and how you can barely see the skin.
That’s because the undercoat isn’t loose — it’s stuck, packed tightly and trapped.

When undercoat becomes impacted like this:
• Air cannot reach the skin
• Heat and moisture are trapped
• The skin can’t breathe
• Dogs can feel heavy, itchy and uncomfortable
• Brushing can become painful, especially in sensitive areas

This is often why dogs begin to dislike brushing or give warning signs — the coat is pulling on the skin.

In the after video, that impacted undercoat has been safely removed.
Now you can clearly see:
✔️ The coat separating properly
✔️ Skin visibility and airflow restored
✔️ A lighter, healthier, more comfortable coat

💡 Important to know:
If the skin isn’t visible when the coat is parted or dried, there is usually undercoat build-up.

A slicker brush alone often cannot reach this layer. Proper deshedding requires line brushing from the skin out, correct tools, and controlled blow-drying to release what’s trapped.
