💌 A LITTLE INVITATION FROM SWEET PEA ANIMAL RESCUE…..🐾

Dear Dog and Cat Lovers,

We have a small request. Could you spare an hour this Thursday to meet some very special animals who are hoping their next chapter will be a happy one? 💕

Behind every wagging tail and gentle purr is a little story. Some of our residents are playful, some are shy, some are full of mischief, and others are simply waiting for someone to notice just how special they are. 🐶🐱

You might even meet your future best friend! 🤗

🐾🐾 PAWS 4 AN HOUR is our only regular public opening, giving you the opportunity to meet our rescue animals, learn about adoption, and discover how you could help make a difference. 💖

📅 Thursday | 10.30–11.30 am

📍 Sweet Pea Animal Rescue

5 Sweet Pea Road, The Lakes Way, Forster
(Behind the vet hospital)

You don't need to bring anything but a little time and a kind heart. 💚

Because for our animals, an hour of your time could be the beginning of something wonderful. 🐾💕

Hope to see you there! 👋

🌈 TOPSY’S FABULOUS FOREVER AFTER! 🌈

Tonight we’re celebrating one very special adoption…
the wonderful, wiggly, sunshine‑filled new life of Topsy! 💕🐶

This darling girl was found roaming the streets of Taree - and yes, we know exactly what you’re thinking: “How does a sweet, innocent puppy end up alone on the streets?”
It’s a question we ask far too often.

But here’s the part we hold onto…
the part that keeps us going…
the part that makes rescue magic sparkle again. ✨

Because for every heartbreaking beginning, we also get to witness the beautiful, joy‑soaked endings.🥹
The loving families.
The warm beds.
The safe futures.
The happily‑ever‑afters these precious souls deserve.

And Topsy’s story is one of those.

We were absolutely flooded with wonderful applications for this little sweetheart - but as there is only ONE Topsy, we had to choose the home that felt just right.
We hoped for a family with another K9 companion… and goodness, did the universe deliver!

Topsy now has her very own sister - Dusty 🐶, her very own family - Chloe, Lance, Ethan, & Ashton - and her very own forever life - and she is soaking up every single moment. 🌟🐾💛

Please join us in celebrating this darling girl’s brand‑new chapter, filled with playtime, cuddles, confidence, and all the love she could ever dream of.

To the incredible Sacks family:
Thank you for choosing adoption.
Thank you for choosing her.
And thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for choosing Sweet Pea.

We cannot wait to watch little Topsy continue to blossom in her fabulous forever home.🏡

💛 Happy forever, sweet girl.
Your best life starts now. 💞

🐾 Milo’s journey to a healthier, happier life 💙

Our beautiful rescue Frenchie Milo will be undergoing BOAS surgery this Friday.

When Milo first arrived at Sweet Pea, we were unaware that he would need this surgery. However, as we’ve cared for him and watched him closely, it has become clear that surgery is essential to improve his breathing and, ultimately, his quality of life.

BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) is unfortunately common in French Bulldogs and other flat-faced breeds. Their shortened skull shape can mean that the structures inside their airways are crowded, making it difficult for them to breathe normally. The photo accompanying this post shows the difference between a healthier airway and the airway structure commonly seen in affected French Bulldogs.

For Milo, this surgery is about giving him the opportunity to breathe more comfortably, exercise more easily and enjoy the kind of life every dog deserves. ❤️

🙏 We’d love you to send Milo some good luck for Friday!

Surgery and veterinary care can be a significant expense for a rescue organisation, so if you would like to contribute towards Milo’s surgery and help us continue giving dogs like him the care they need, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.

Westpac account details are:
Name: Sweet Pea Animal Rescue Ltd
BSB: 032543
Account: 273829

And the really exciting news is that once Milo has recovered from his surgery, he’ll be looking for his forever home. 🏡💙

Please keep this gorgeous boy in your thoughts on Friday and cheer him on as he takes this important step towards a healthier future.

Go Milo! 🐾💙

She gave birth in the pound on 17 September, bringing six perfect babies into the world:
🐾 Five ginger boys

💛 Bobbi - short‑haired Calico bobtail beauty.
She arrived at the pound with her litter, and unbelievably… her babies look almost exactly the same age as Gelato’s!
Bobbi has five adorable kittens:
🐾 Ginger
🐾 Tortie
🐾 Calico
🐾 Two black‑and‑whites
✨ And all but one are bobtails, just like their mama!

Though they came from the same pound, these two families are totally unrelated - just two brave mums doing their best for their babies. 💛🐾

🩷🐾 WELCOME GRACIE & CHARLIE 🐾🩷

Please join us in welcoming our two newest little family members - Gracie and Charlie! These two absolutely adorable girls came into our care through very reluctant and emotional owner surrenders. Their families love them deeply, but heartbreaking circumstances have forced their hand 🥺.

✨ Gracie is an 8‑year‑old King Charles Cavalier. Originally used for breeding, she has spent the last five years living a peaceful, loving life with her mature mum. She is calm, gentle, sweet, wonderful with children, great with other doggies, and truly impossible not to fall head over heels in love with. She’s the kind of girl who melts into your heart the moment you look into her eyes 😌.

✨ Charlie is a 3‑year‑old Toy Poodle who has lived her whole pampered life with a mature couple. She’s outgoing, lightweight, super happy, beach‑loving, walk‑loving, dog‑loving, affection‑loving - honestly, she’s just a tiny bundle of joy 🥰.

Both girls would suit almost any home.
💗 Gracie may prefer a quieter, gentler household.
💗 Charlie would thrive in a young, active family home.

They are both fully up to date with all veterinary care, a testament to the beautiful homes they’ve come from - and they are ready and waiting for their forever families💖.

✨ Please share their story far and wide.
Every share helps us reach the people who will love them for the rest of their lives.

These two little angels deserve the softest landing and the happiest new chapter. If you think you may be the right fit, keep an eye on our website for their adoption listings💫.
