On behalf of Kennel Club of Harare we would like to thank Rita Cook for judging our Canine Good Citizen and Obedience this last weekend 22nd and 23rd August 26 - thank you for your training tips and suggestions I am sure we all went away with something new to try.

Well done to all the winners listed especially to Blessing and Spider for his qualification and CC under Dog jumping Grade 1 Large and Quali under contact agility A1 Large as well - good work 😁

Hi everyone, WAKE up the pups, get them off the COUCH out of the FLOWERS and get to the Kennel Club of Harare on the 22nd and 23rd of August for our Championship show - lots of trophies up for grabs - entries close in the 8 August - don’t miss the date - if u are not in the show come and watch - we are pleased to say that Rita Cook from SA will we judging the Obedience classes so brush up on those commands 😁- Training this weekend as normal - see u there 😁

We are pleased to welcome Rita Cook to Zimbabwe from South Africa to judge our next Kennel Club of Harare Championship show on the 22nd and 23rd of August - Rita has been training dogs since 1975 and has a wealth of knowledge across many areas of dog disciplines such as:

Obedience and Dog jumping

On the 11 and 12 July the German Shepherd dog club held their annual show at the KCH grounds. Thank you to Athena who organised this small but well run event. The show was held in memory of Gordon Grierson who was a very long standing member of the GSD Club and sadly passed away in May 2026.

Don’t forget the show this weekend - all spectators are welcome - Obedience on Saturday from 8.30am and Sunday loads of action with Agility and Dog jumping starting also starting at 8.30am. Catering available on both days as well as tea and cakes - come join us to see what the dogs can do.

Last weekend for training before the Kennel Club of Harare Championship show on the 20 and 21st June - training on:

Saturday 13 June 9.00 am - Agility and dog jumping
Sunday 14 June 9.00am - Obedience including a puppy class

Puppies should be 4 months and older and all welcome bring your vaccination book some treats and a toy.

Afterwards a lovely tea with cakes for only USD2
